Thursday, January 06, 2011 - Posted by Regina Richards - 5 comments. I know I haven't posted in a while but I have an excuse. I got a Kindle for Christmas. Soooo dangerous. I got rid of the tv, but now I'm trapped in the Kindle. Though I must say this is a rather pleasant (if expensive) addiction. Something that's helping me write today:. Putting down the Kindle for a few minutes. Links to this post. How do you eat an Elephant? One bite at a time. Texas, United States. View my complete profile.

one little elephant: March 2011

Friday, March 25, 2011 - Posted by Regina Richards - 4 comments. Image this. You've worked for months: writing script, designing sets, making costumes, positioning lights, and rehearsing, rehearsing, rehearsing. The big night arrives. You step out onto the stage trembling with fear and excitement. Will the crowd love it? The theater is empty. That is a metaphor for what happened to me this week. What did I do? I cried. And then I started writing again. Something that's helping me write today:. My sister ...

Friday, July 01, 2011 - Posted by Regina Richards - 2 comments. I'm having tea with a girlfriend in a public place. A man we both know stops to talk. Though I've known him for years he is a nodding acquaintance only. Someone you know without really knowing, probably met at a long ago PTA meeting or soccer game. He stops pacing abruptly and looks first at my girlfriend and then at me, as if choosing. We sip our tea. We are sisters at some deep level, but with personalities as different as Kung Fu ...He pu...

one little elephant: November 2010
http://onelittleelephant.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
All work and no play. Saturday, November 20, 2010 - Posted by Regina Richards - 9 comments. Last weekend I went on a retreat that really got my juices flowing again. It was the perfect combination of time to socialize with my fellow writers (amazingly intellegent, witty, and wise folks) and time to work in a visually soothing and blessedly uninterrupted environment. I came home Sunday evening from the retreat ready to work. And work I have! Do you ever find you've temporarily written yourself out?

Chasing a Runaway Toad: Outback, Down-Under, and Upside-Down

Chasing a Runaway Toad. The Ramblings of a Diseased Mind. Friday, January 5, 2007. Outback, Down-Under, and Upside-Down. If you have been reading from the beginning, then you know that “Global Warming” and its supporters are one on my pet peeves. So when I saw this article on climate change in Australia. I had to look. Sure enough, they mentioned greenhouse effect and “Global Warming” in the first sentence. The how the hell does he know what most scientist say on the subject. I hold Romulus Crowe’s.

Chasing a Runaway Toad. The Ramblings of a Diseased Mind. Friday, December 1, 2006. Sorry about the lag (and I actually am—hmmm—grumble, expletive), but I’ve been busy tending to my stash of green stuff (money! And blogging doesn’t pay the bills yet. (Yes, I know I’ve visited other blogs in the past week, but I do that when I am relaxing, and writing this is too much like work to do when I’m relaxing.). Anyway, here is some of the stupidity that has been going on while I was away:. By grounding him (my p...

Chasing a Runaway Toad. The Ramblings of a Diseased Mind. Tuesday, January 23, 2007. I am not alone. As many of you know, I live in North Alabama. This puts me in the area able to receive the Rick and Bubba Show. On the radio. I hate commercials, so I change radio stations frequently. This morning, I flipped to 95.1. To avoid a commercial block, and Rick and Bubba were talking to James Spann. Aboutwait for it.Global Warming. If you have some time, checkout the background here. The world is warming up, an...

A Zombie Romance - #1. Friday, January 29, 2010 - Posted by Regina Richards - 4 comments. This is just a bit of fun. It began in a forum on CritiqueCircle.com. He rounded the corner and came to a dead stop. His mouth dropped open and his tongue, if he'd still had one, would have hung out. Sitting on a bus bench just a few yards away was the most wondrous creature he'd ever laid his eye on. She was a vision beyond his wildest nightmares. Something that's helping me write today:. one little elephant: Change is Good - or is it?
http://onelittleelephant.blogspot.com/2011/07/change-is-good-or-is-it.html
Change is Good - or is it? Friday, July 29, 2011 - Posted by Regina Richards - 6 comments. Recently I began Tweeting. Against my will. Okay, not exactly against my will, but reluctantly. So while up to this point maintaining three blogs has been fairly easy, I fear that adding Twitter and eventually Facebook to the mix may be pushing things. After all, I still need to write novels and my family expects cooking, cleaning and other maid services to continue uninterrupted. For at least the next few weeks.
