London Inspiration?!: In the beginning ....
http://roseinlondon.blogspot.com/2011/04/in-beginning.html
Friday, 22 April 2011. In the beginning . A few years ago I bought a writers magazine for my daughter who was about to embark on a university course in creative writing. However, I. Found the mag fascinating and started putting pen to paper myself! Needless to say this can leave one in a rather quiet and melancholic state of mind. I have written short stories and poetry, but I don’t have the patience to carry an entire novel. Fortunately I’m a diary writer. For my first Christmas after finishin...Apart f...

Rose's Country Cooking!: Sweet Potato Tuna Jacket
http://rosescountrycooking.blogspot.com/2012/07/sweet-potato-tuna-jacket.html
How many people really stick to the exact instructions or ingredients of a recipe? But I have discovered that in changing a few ingredients, or totally omitting one or two things, I'm actually creating something quite different to the 'original' recipe. And if I put them altogether I could end up with my own 'original' recipe book! Here's some of the tweaked recipes, but don't just copy them, make your own tweaks and give it your own name! Then you can publish your own recipe book! Monday, 9 July 2012.

The Lives & Times of Bella: Cat Encounters of the Bella Kind!
http://livesandtimesofbella.blogspot.com/2013/08/cat-encounters-of-bella-kind.html
The Lives and Times of Bella. Bella - a Shiba Inu (? Thursday, 8 August 2013. Cat Encounters of the Bella Kind! A couple of weeks ago while on the last walk of the day, but at the time when all the neighbourhood cats come out to play, Bella lost control, lunged after an unsuspecting kitty, snapped her. Extrastrong, long dog lead specifically designed for large and heavy dog breeds. And chased poor Kitty into a corner. Easy to control and she responded beautifully with no problems. So lunch time off we we...

London Inspiration?!: An Architectural Leaning to Arches
http://roseinlondon.blogspot.com/2011/09/over-last-two-weeks-in-chelmondiston.html
Saturday, 10 September 2011. An Architectural Leaning to Arches. Over the last two weeks in Chelmondiston, Suffolk, I've thought of many ideas for a blog. The daily newspaper which we don't usually get, but which the owners of the house we have been house-sitting for do, has provided many frustrating emotions, expressions of incredulity, and gasps of horror - mainly in connection with the national health service! So here they are, the arches of Leiston Abbey! And lastly, one of the altar:. Sean and Jen's...

London Inspiration?!: Hobnobbing in Chelsea!
http://roseinlondon.blogspot.com/2011/02/so-we-did-family-history-tour-little.html
Wednesday, 2 February 2011. So Tuesday we did the family history tour! A little while ago I discovered that Dave’s maternal ancestors had lived and worked in Chelsea, and since we’re in London, thought it would be fun to find their house, visit the church they were christened, married and buried in, and find their work place! Just a quick intro as to who we were tracing:. That’s the SA link, but I wanted to see where the Holesgrove family were in Chelsea. Before we tackled the higgledy-piggeldy Kensingto...

London Inspiration?!: "Sugar Baby Love" (The Rubettes 1974)
http://roseinlondon.blogspot.com/2011/02/sugar-baby-love-rubettes-1974.html
Tuesday, 8 February 2011. Sugar Baby Love" (The Rubettes 1974). So we were driving the 100miles back from a day out, windscreen wipers on, radio on, and I began to think …. who was the first guy who called his girlfriend “Baby”? And what was her reaction? Girlfriend pet-names, used in pop songs over many decades. I haven’t done huge research but Ted Lewis had a hit (7 weeks at number 1) with When my Baby Smiles at Me. In … 1920. Not the Peter Allen 1979 Dante's Inferno version! 8211; a plaything? She has...

The Lives & Times of Bella: January 2013
http://livesandtimesofbella.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
The Lives and Times of Bella. Bella - a Shiba Inu (? Monday, 21 January 2013. I just like a nice homely fire! So now we're pretty certain our Bella is a Shiba-Inu x. And everyone in the village thinks she's very 'pretty'! They also think she's very good - actually she's still quite shy, which can easily be mistaken for angelic perfection! What people don't know is that in the safety of her own home, behind closed doors, on a cold, snowy, windy day, she's actually . Let's not forget her agility in getting...

Letters Words & Lines: Poets & Harvests!
http://letterswordslines.blogspot.com/2012/08/poets-harvests.html
Letters Words and Lines. Having had a poem and a very short 'article' (for want of a better word) published in Carillon Magazine, a short story on the Creative Cafe Project website and elected the short story winner for December 2011 on Creative Writing Ink, it's about time to air some more poems and short writings! See links for abovementioned sites). Sunday, 5 August 2012. I often wondered how my high school English teacher could say with such certainty what a 17. Have been referring to…. But usually i...
