Sioux Falls | A Roving Gambler
https://rovinggambler.wordpress.com/2012/08/18/sioux-falls
Music, Art, Travel and Musings. In to town, found the hotel and a pre show drink. Watching golf and thinking about Bob rehearsing and getting ready for the show. Saw M. getting ice. Invited down. Said they would be eating and meet later. Had a nice chat with C. between Sioux City and Sioux Falls. Thought about L. the whole time. Exciting to think Bob is in town. Newer Entry →. The Hollywood Show & the Tommy no show | A Roving Gambler
https://rovinggambler.wordpress.com/2013/01/13/the-hollywood-show-the-tommy-no-show
Music, Art, Travel and Musings. The Hollywood Show and the Tommy no show. I am supposed to meet my friend Tommy at this event. It is part of the celebrity culture. You don’t have to chase your favorite star around, just pay $20 to get in and then $40 for the autograph and you’re in. Not really my scene but looking forward to meeting with Tommy. Just saw my first LA hipster – looks typical. Don’t see so many on the docks. Newer Entry →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Sky Music Lounge...
Living on a yacht – week one | A Roving Gambler
https://rovinggambler.wordpress.com/2013/02/11/living-on-a-yacht-week-one
Music, Art, Travel and Musings. Living on a yacht – week one. Enjoying a cocktail, listening to the quiet. The sun falls into the Pacific. The light always changing, shifting and moving. The water rising or falling with the tide. Birds looking for the next meal or whatever else they seek. Crystal Blue Sky today so maybe a similar sunset this evening. Guitar and working on some songs sounds nice. Hopefully won’t cause any of my neighbors to leave. Newer Entry →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Sky Music Loung...
Living near the Water | A Roving Gambler
https://rovinggambler.wordpress.com/2013/01/17/living-near-the-water
Music, Art, Travel and Musings. Living near the Water. The inlet to Mission Bay, northern San Diego. Spectacular day. Had a productive meeting with a boat broker. Saw a 39′ Carver with an aft cabin. Sweeeet. Then got an email from Dave making a very interesting offer on his Chris Craft. Wonderful to be a buyer in a buyers market. Unusual for me. And tagged San Diego. Newer Entry →. Turning 60 | A Roving Gambler
https://rovinggambler.wordpress.com/2012/07/15/turning-60
Music, Art, Travel and Musings. It’s such a shock, me 60. Can it be true? Not so much that I have lived this long. Many fortunate turns have left me feeling ok. I didn’t break my neck diving into Kentucky Lake at 2:00 AM trying to impress some long forgotten girl. I didn’t crash or burn on too many road trips to count (although I’m trying to list them all). I didn’t become lost, hurt, etc. when mountain climbing in Colorado with a bunch of guys who knew about the same as I did. 7 Always rub her feet.

A'Roving Gaijin | Just a semester spent in Kyoto
Just a semester spent in Kyoto. Intimidation (Fat guys and deer). July 25, 2013. Since classes have been over I’ve really piled on the adventures. I’m feeling my time here draw to a close and I’m realizing all the things I have yet to do. Once of those was to see a match of the legendary game of Sumo. We soon had our own favorites and had a lot of fun guessing who was going to win as each pair took the stage. Would you take a picture with these Americans? As soon as we left the station we were greeted by...

Thumbshots.com – Snaphot/content scraper at large. It sounds like such a nice concept. Show pictures or snapshots next to links. Except that to sell those services, ThumbShots crawlers (AKA SmartDevil crawlers) must scrape content and bandwidth off YOUR servers, so he/they can sell snapshots to other dumb web-sites, such as all the information tracker sites that also scrape the Internet. So …. Can you ADVERTISE a THEFT SERVICE and NOT get arrested? Does a Proxy/VPN make you safe on the Internet? If you a...
