Running with Integrity

June 20, 2012 · 10:51 am. I was terrified for a good reason. This is what I get for watching movies on Sunday night instead of running. In a more perfect reality, the week’s long run would be long over. But in my present reality, it had yet to begin. I was livid with myself. I felt the pressure of both races approaching and I knew I had to get a long run in soon. Was it “merely a flesh wound? Never put off until tomorrow that which you can do today. Always carbo-load, no matter how rushed you feel. Remem...

Newer posts →. July 26, 2011 · 9:57 pm. Truly… running with integrity. At mile 7.75 of my 9.00 mile run on Sunday, I encountered an abrasive older gentleman on a bicycle that almost ruined the end of my run. He completely interrupted my thoughts and left me fuming, but I was too breathless to say anything. If I had had the energy, my response might have sounded a little like this:. Dear old man on bicycle:. Dear embarrassed-looking younger man riding bicycle with old man:. Been guilty of being self-absor...

I’m terrified of ten miles →. February 10, 2012 · 12:16 am. Revamping the wordpress…. Last May and regrettably, I have not been as involved with the project as I had hoped. I do not write as often as I think to. There has been something wrong – but I haven’t been able to put my finger on it. Until recently. My primary blog will continue to be. In it, I will continue to document the events of my personal life in an effort to remain connected with distant friends and family. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

My husband and I identify ourselves as Sabbatarian Christians. Our fundamental beliefs include observance of a Saturday Sabbath (from Friday sunset through Saturday sunset) and annual Holy Days as described in Leviticus 23, and the observance of clean and unclean food laws as described in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14. We trace our origins to the Church that Jesus founded in the early first century. We follow the same teachings, doctrines, and practices established then. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Running with Ice Cream. A place for my thoughts, my photos … my life. 3 in 1 – Chapter 6. I opened up chapter 6 this week, which is titled “Trinity”. I thought to myself, “I’m finally going to understand fully the doctrine of the Trinity.” Some of you are probably chuckling already by that thought. Things that are Costumes for the Dopey Challenge 2016. Tuesday, January 10. Since Dopey 2017 just happened I thought it would be fun to #takemeback to when I ran the Dopey Challenge last year (2016) with Celise, Shelly, and Celise's uncle, Dan. I wanted to post what cute costumes we wore and what fun ones we found too. Here are some of the costumes we found. Some were homemade, some were a mix between homemade and bought, and some were bought. Day 1 - Super Heroes. Day 2 - Princesses. With Turquoise skir...

A Tale of Two Halves: The Philadelphia Marathon. 8220;The Marathon Will Humble You.”. I’ve written about this before, but I believe that in many ways diabetes and distance running are similar. Both take dedication and commitment to manage well. Both can be quite difficult. And both can return unexpectedly poor results despite our best preparation. The race weekend really started for me on Friday evening. The Girlfriend. Dr Matt Corcoran – Dr. Corcoran is the founder of Diabetes Training Camp. Anyway befo...

BMI: not so good for measuring the individual. This morning, I heard a story on morning edition ( www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php. About Safeway doing innovative things to control healthcare costs. I’m generally in favor of what they’ve done, as I subscribe to the idea that we should encourage what we want and discourage what we don’t want. Since I’ve been losing weight recently,. I’ll give you some statistics about me to possibly shed some light on this:. At the start of my program, my stats were:.

My rudimentary attempts at a blog - who knows where this will go? Saturday, January 17, 2015. We had a busy final day of training with lots of information to share and celebrations to be had.
