Sharing knowledge about Rutland's butterflies. July 19, 2015. We arrived in Shetland two days ago to much better weather than forecast, but the troubling news that the well-studied population of Puffins. On Fair Isle has declined by about half during the past thirty years. As with many such examples, the reasons for the decline are not fully understood. We have again had the pleasure of seeing Otter from our accommodation, and the sunshine has brought out small numbers of whites and two Red Admirals.

I checked out a new site last week for me just over the county border into Lincolnshire for Man Orchid (Orchis anthropophora). Parking up on a nearby road verge at.
