Torsten's RV-12: RPM Is Stable Now
http://torstensrv-12.blogspot.com/2014/05/rpm-is-stable-now.html
My build of the Van's Aircraft RV-12 #120374. Saturday, May 3, 2014. RPM Is Stable Now. The 47kOhms resistor did the trick. No more fluctuations, not even during initial climb out. This has been verified today during 3 hours of flying from AVQ to PAN, from PAN to FFZ and back to AVQ. Payson was beautiful and the restaurant has nice food for around what I pay for a gallon of AvGas at Falcon Field. Now let's plan for a few days in Sedona! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Paint scheme under consideration.

Torsten's RV-12: April 2013
http://torstensrv-12.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
My build of the Van's Aircraft RV-12 #120374. Tuesday, April 30, 2013. I did not have much time to night but I was able to rivet the spacer parts onto the stiffener angle. I realized a bit later that I had used ordinary NAPA primer and not the stuff for engine enamel. I guess that in between two good heat conductors this should stay cool enough to cause an issue. Monday, April 29, 2013. Without any reason, as it turned out - to my great relief! The front of the firewall is a bit more delicate though....

Torsten's RV-12: January 2014
http://torstensrv-12.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
My build of the Van's Aircraft RV-12 #120374. Sunday, January 26, 2014. Over the weekend I took a moment to install the Kroger Sunshade to get out of the searing sun, at least some of the flight time. This sunshade is very effective and super light-weight, so it's a no-brainer in my book. On Saturday and Sunday I collected some more climb data and various airspeed data to compare against the GPS groundspeed by eliminating the wind factor. Then I headed out West to Silverbell Mine. After landing and hanga...

Torsten's RV-12: October 2013

My build of the Van's Aircraft RV-12 #120374. Sunday, October 27, 2013. Ready for Taxi Tests. I put the Avionics cover back on and removed the final layers of protective coating from the glass. I also wiped down the top of the wing skins and the fuselage to get rid of some dust. Not sure if you can see a difference in the photos. Saturday, October 26, 2013. After a great day at Copperstate Fly-In. For which I had taken a day off from work, I riveted on the piano hinge to the top cowl. The it was time che...

Torsten's RV-12: September 2013

My build of the Van's Aircraft RV-12 #120374. Sunday, September 29, 2013. Trim Servo Needs Polarity Change. When I was looking at the PAP to verify the trim tab is doing the right thing, the measurements that I was supposed to get were completely off. In what I thought was full up trim, I measured more than 3" of distance between the AST trailing edge and the TE of the stabilator when the stick was full aft. A check on the forum confirmed that my trim tab is moving the opposite way: Forum Thread. I adjus...

http://kuschkronicle.blogspot.com/2012/07/our-fist-3-days.html
Notes from the "Berg". Sunday, July 1, 2012. Our first 3 days! Mi español es muy poco, pero en mi carazón soy una Mexicana! I am sorry this is so long but I wanted to just give you a feeling for this beautiful place. I love you all and send hugs to you all. Alynda. Now I feel exhausted. Good thing you have the strength of the Lord to hold you up. We got lost a few times and the greeting thing I think we have it down now. I love to be able to read about your experiences. The Kusch Kronicle: February 2012
http://kuschkronicle.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Notes from the "Berg". Tuesday, February 21, 2012. Bruce's experience from yesterday. I wanted to share an experience that happened today that was a true mission tender mercy. He enters the MTC on May 23 and is scheduled to fly to Mexico on July 23. I told him that we'd be at the airport to welcome him to Mexico. His Mom was relieved - this is her youngest son and his older brother had not served a mission. We had a nice visit and I assured her we would take good care of him. A note from me:. We have a f...

The Kusch Kronicle: September 2011
http://kuschkronicle.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Notes from the "Berg". Tuesday, September 27, 2011. On Sunday in our Relief Society, a young woman shared her story about their journey to the temple. Both she and her husband joined the church in India and are the only members in their respective families. When the became engaged, they decided that they wanted to be sealed in the temple. Monday, September 26, 2011. We glory in tribulation also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; patience, experience; and experience, hope". A Really Good Read.
