Oosik Info – March 19, 2016. The top-end competition at the front of the race is always hotly contested, but the majority of skiers are on the less-competitive end of the spectrum. Many people use the race as a chance to get outside with friends for some social skiing. 9:00AM – 11:00AM, Bib Pickup. You will receive an Mad Dog Graphx. In the foothills of the Cascade mountains of northern Oregon there is a small rain forest valley that is home to the Villages at Mount Hood. At the end of the road near the village of Welches is our home, Salmonberry Springs, and our Dancing Bear guest cottage. The cottage has one bedroom, a kitchen, bathroom and living room looking out over a duck pond and the parklike setting of Salmonberry Springs. The cottage is a wonderful place to relax or explore the activities around Mt Hood.
