Possible 3-night rentals of Tent Cabins between Labor Day and mid-September). Moving day is Saturday for Tent Cabins. Moving day is Sunday for other cabins. Our kayaks, rowboats, stand-up paddleboards and canoe are provided free of charge to our guests only. A boat use agreement will be signed upon arrival. Barge trips for guests are made on the hour between 9 am - 7 pm. In between, we encourage use of rowboats or the trail around the lake. The McGee mining operation was concentrated in three shafts into the ridge north of the Lake. The trail around the lake crosses the tailings from the lowest of these shafts. The other two mines were located above and east of this mine. The ore was then carried on donkeys down a narrow trail and around the lake to the stampmill. We don't know how profitable the mining operation was. One suspects that it was sustained by the resort. Salmon Lake Lodge 2007.

Salmon Lake has neither a restaurant nor a bar. All social events are for guests only. Our barbecue dinners are served on the island on Thursdays mid-June through Labor Day. The flank steak dinner includes side dish, salad, beverages, dessert and coffee. All of the food is homemade and often includes fresh bread and ice cream. A vegetarian option is available. Reservations for the barbecue are made upon arrival. The cost is $25 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and under. Has a good list of restaurants.
