Passeys in Belgium: Socialized Medicine
http://belgiumpasseys.blogspot.com/2011/01/socialized-medicine.html
Saturday, January 1, 2011. Thoughts for the new year. 1) Sarah's surgeon offered to take Dave and Sarah's coat when they came for the initial consultation. They wouldn't have been surprised if he had offered them a beverage. 2) Benjamin's surgery was postponed by a week due to a one day nursing strike at the Antwerp hospital. Stinks for him. 3) After taking her blood pressure post surgery, the nurses left Sarah alone.all day.until it was time to check out. She slept really well. Ready for the bottom line?

Passeys in Belgium: SDD
http://belgiumpasseys.blogspot.com/2011/03/sdd.html
Thursday, March 3, 2011. I have made a discovery. I have SDD. Although related to the more famous SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), SDD is less recognized and often goes undiagonosed. I also have SAG, but that is personal. Unlike SAD, SDD vicitms remain rather chipper and good natured in their defective period. Unfortunately, their families members often suffer periods of depression and hopelessness. It is usually only after recovery is well underway that victims recognize the patterns of defectiveness ...

Passeys in Belgium: July 2010
http://belgiumpasseys.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 24, 2010. Meet Cole. He is my nephew. He and his twin brother Brent are like Fred and George Weasley in 5 year old flesh and blood. He was painted up all fierce by Matthew at my Uncle Jim's lake. The cousins 12 and under were mining clay from the bottom of the lake and stashing it in storage depots guarded by the girls. I guess they got tired of storing and started embellishing. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Quote of the Week. To Benj in the car on the way to England.

Passeys in Belgium: September 2010
http://belgiumpasseys.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Monday, September 27, 2010. Way, way back, before vacations of all sorts, I had three kids in the Special Olympics. My kids are incredibly fortunate to have wonderful friends in the special education program at ISB. They really love these kids. Matthew, in fact, loves his friend Max so much that he was willing to set aside his sworn hatred of any movement brisker than a plod and actually. In a rousing dutch accent. With their team mates Anna and Mathilde. Way to go ISB! ANECD...

Passeys in Belgium: December 2010
http://belgiumpasseys.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 28, 2010. Where are you going for Christmas? I think I just love a quiet Christmas because it is a great big sigh between intense sprints and being home allows me to just fall right down deep into that sigh and settle in for awhile. And while I am there, I can think, and be grateful for the love of a Father, and of a Savior, and of that baby born to traveling parents thousands of years ago. Wednesday, December 22, 2010. We're Only Here for the Food. The hints get better as you go along.
