Savory Supper

Wednesday, October 24, 2012. I've been super busy and I haven't posted here in a long time! Our family has embarked on a healthy eating journey over the last 5-6 months and I am very pleased with the results. My husband has lost about 25 pounds over the last 9 months and I feel so much better knowing that we are eating healthy. I hope to share many of our favorite low fat, low sugar recipes with you! I found this blog. And I have used many of the recipes and all of them have been great. Line a muffin pan...

Was my food brought to me without doing harm to people or to the environment? In specific reference to fresh onions, questions are: Which onion is best for cooking? Which onion adds the most punch to ethnic dishes? Where was this onion grown? How did it get to my grocery store? How long can I expect to find this onion available to me?

savorysweetandskinny | The greatest WordPress.com site in all the land!

The greatest WordPress.com site in all the land! I personally think that the squash is sweet enough on its own and does not need any more sweeteners or calories. I kept it real simple. 2 T Olive oil. Salt and Pepper to taste. I baked it at 400 degrees for about 35 minutes, and it seemed to be cooking a little too fast, so I turned the oven down to 360 degrees and baked it for about 15 minutes more. This is what it looked like when it was done. Enjoy the great Fall weather! October 3, 2012. 1-2 T Olive oil.

Savory Sweet and Sour

Sunday, August 5, 2012. As a result, I wanted to make a refreshing summer dish to help keep my body from erupting into flames. This cold salad is something my family makes quite frequently during the summer, and it has always been one of my favorites. It’s especially good to make in the late summer when people’s gardens are starting to produce fresh vegetables. This is an extremely quick and simple salad to throw together and the only true cooking involved is boiling potatoes. 1 Large Onion, sliced.
