The Cinnamon Was a No-No. Cinnamon, while a delight addition to hot chocolate, turned out to be a rather nasty idea for my coffee today. Brewed the coffee myself in my room. Just Folgers because that is what was on sale this week. Not bad stuff. Not so amazing either but it’s coffee. So the cinnamon. So I looked at my little stash of hot drink stuff and thought “why not? Think of the factors. Type of bean, temperature of the drink, flavor or no? Do you add milk or sugar or want whipped cream on top. Do you want it iced or boiling hot? Are the best beans from Sumatra or Java or somewhere else? Can Folgers really compete with Starbucks? And no, I do not take any sugar. Coffee purists, bah.

This I do not do often. Not often at all. I think Starbucks is not that great. Their coffee is no better than everyone elses’ but you have to try it sometimes because they might turn out something good one day. No Do you know what’s in that stuff? You don’t want to. Disgusting.
