ACET feared that with limited or virtually no HIV/AIDS services in the north and with the prevalent situation that were conducive to the rapid spread of HIV/AIDS, it was felt appropriate to start and HIV/AIDS project. This grew to have an income generation component for a number of women groups in the region.
