Der verden møtes. Elfenbenskysten i Vest-Afrika har i nesten fem år vært i borgerkrig. Landet har vært delt i to der opprørstyrker har kontrollert den nordlige delen av landet og regjeringstyrker har hatt kontrollen i sør. Landets mest kjente fotballspiller er Didier Drogba. De store stjernene er viktige i fotballen, men det er på grasrota at det store potensialet for fotball for fred ligger. Eksemplene er mange fra Palestina og Israel der blant annet Peres Center for Peace. Med MYSA ut av fattigdommen.

Rambles a la Myriam. Friday, December 22, 2006. Don't I know you from somewhere? It's so nice to be off work and enjoying the company of some fellow Canadians. Sara and Jenny (2 CGC volunteers in Namibia) joined me in Cape Town last week and this past Tuesday we flew to Joburg on our way to Mozambique! I stopped in at an orphanage ( TLC). To see my friend Simon who is volunteering there for a few months! I think that was enough snow to tide me over until. well next October/November! I can handle that.
