Saturday, 11 August 2012 Friday, 17 August 2012. Overnighted at Bridge Creek, just south of Adelaide River, then into Darwin. finally! We booked in to stay a week at the Shady Glen Caravan Park about 10 km from the CBD. On Monday we took the bus into town for a bit of sight-seeing. We walked down to the harbour and soon found ourselves in the WWII storage tunnels and eyeing off the wave pool. We met them at Moorish Cafe and reminisced and talked politics. Now on to Kakadu!

Friday, 6 July 2012 Tuesday, 10 July 2012. Planned only to stopover for a day or two, but decided to stay longer so we could go to the Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum. Rain has put a stop to that. The museum site is at the end of 11k of unsealed road! The rain filled the caravan park as campers came in from the bush to avoid being stranded at he end of muddy dirt roads. We exchanged the dinosaurs for the Waltzing Matilda Centre and learned all about the origins of the poem and song.

Tuesday, 19 June 2012 Thursday, 21 June 2012. An easy drive up to Moura via the Moura-Theodore Road. It was a good chance to see the big drag-lines in action. We purchased this KEA Dreamtime in September 2010 and drove it home from Sydney to Brisbane. The KEA Dreamtime is a 4/5 berth, 2008 Ford Transit, 6 speed manual, 2.4l turbo diesel. Since purchasing, we have added 2 x 140w solar panels and two extra 85Ah deep cycle batteries, giving plenty of free renewable energy. Toilet cassette and 150 litre fresh and grey water tanks. Plenty of storage space on top.
