Visitors are permitted to enter the sheepfold sites by the owners of the sites. Cumbria County Council does not own any of the sheepfolds. Visitors enter the sites at their own risk. Please note that some folds are working folds and visitors are advised to wear robust footwear and outdoor clothing as appropriate. I gained a National Diploma in Agriculture at Plumpton Agricultural College, Lewes, East Sussex in the early 1980 s and have been farming for others and on my own since then. That is apart from a period of five years from 1985 to 1990 when, after a motorbike accident, I was left paralysed from the chest down and in a wheelchair for life.
