The Simonsberg mountains are at the centre of the Cape Winelands, approximately 45km from Cape Town, South Africa. These prominent mountains rise nearly 1400 metres above sea level and form a stark boundary between the wine growing regions of Stellenbosch (to the southwest), Paarl (to the northeast), and Franschhoek (to the east). Seitdem wir einmal ein Bernerbaby kennenlernen durften, konnten wir, Anke und Uwe Simon, uns nicht mehr für eine andere Hunderasse begeistern. Damals entschieden wir uns zunächst für die Hundedame Su von Rauhuts Hof. Sie war ein ganz liebes und ruhiges Tier. Nach 11 Jahren mussten wir sie leider über die Regenbogenbrücke gehen lassen.
