You are here - shadows of echoes of memories of songs. 10:44 pm November 20th, 2014. I also don't know who's reading this any more. I'm terrible at keeping up with reading LJ myself, so I feel I can't really ask other people to read/comment on what I write; and while I sit there chewing my fingernails in that particular dark cave of fail, lots of beautiful friendships melt away. Who's reading this? Have you all gone to Dreamwidth? Comment by Angelic Eye for the Gendered-Species Individual. I am here and ...

The adventures of a strange singing girl. Immer noch lieblicher als tausend Küsse. Feb 15th, 2009 @ 02:04 am. FOSDEM 2009 in snippets. I promised to blog about FOSDEM. So I'd better do so before I forget all the good bits. Bulleted list (with too-long items) of random impressions, as usual. If so, I'll consider switching back to those. Is the most delicious thing in the world if you are a very hungry hobbit. Dinner with lovely people is also greatly to be lauded. It was Kasteel Rouge. I taught a man to k...

November 22nd, 2013 04:19 pm (UTC). It's probably a good thing they didn't arrive in a well defined order. Otherwise you'd be able to see when the last one you needed turned up, and know exactly how many after that had been a complete waste :-). November 22nd, 2013 04:59 pm (UTC). Argh - Travels With My Zebra. Dec 23rd, 2009. If we're going to have nice fluffy dreams (my tiny baby was chattering away to me enthusiastically at a few days old, I think), could they please not end by dreaming the sound of my Extremely Loud Doorbell at 4am? It's really cold downstairs at the moment. Thanks ever so,. Posted via LiveJournal.app. December 23rd, 2009 08:58 am (UTC). December 23rd, 2009 09:02 am (UTC). December 23rd, 2009 10:47 am (UTC). I bet this is an iPhone app by now. Why hasn't this happened yet? Do you want to write the code for it, maybe not for Google Calendar but for some other equivalent program? PS Here is a post I liked very much. About how we should just get the fuck over ourselves and start talking openly about menstruation in society as a whole. I would not have necessarily made this a public post without having read that. But why filter this? Posted on Sep. 9th, 2009 at 10:55 am. I was thinking this just the other day!

Ubuntu is analogous to bisexuality, in that it's an often-neglected third option which offers greater possibilities than either of its two more popular counterparts. Posted on Feb. 19th, 2010 at 02:44 am. I don't regard bisexuality as fundamentally broken, but Ubuntu is. Posted on Feb. 19th, 2010 03:04 am (UTC). Beat me to it. Posted on Feb. 19th, 2010 11:45 am (UTC). Don't worry, dear. I'm sure you'll find you're just going through an Ubuntu phase. Edited at 2010-02-19 07:19 am (UTC). Looks like Mint is...

Mergesort for linked lists - Tony Finchs blog. Mergesort for linked lists. Laquo; previous entry. Next entry ». 20th Oct 2005 17:43. Atham has a description of his really nice mergesort algorithm for linked lists. The most basic merge sort goes like this:. Split the list in two sort each half merge the halves . profit! This leads to the following bottom-up merge sort:. A) 9 output := append(output, merge(a,b) 10 loop 11 list := output 12 return(list) if merges = 1 13 loop. A) 9 tail := append merge(tail,a...

On asking me to call a ceilidh. - Sallys Journal. June 6th, 2012. On asking me to call a ceilidh. This is starting to happen a bit more, so I thought it might be useful to jot down a FAQ. On the other hand, I tend to be a bit conflicted, so this FAQ might not make a lot of sense. What does Sally like about calling ceilidhs? I like lots of people having fun dancing, and the smug feeling I made that happen. I like being the centre of attention, and compliments afterwards ;-). On the other hand, I believe i...

FizzBuzz with higher-order cpp macros and ELF linker sets - Tony Finchs blog. FizzBuzz with higher-order cpp macros and ELF linker sets. Laquo; previous entry. Next entry ». 27th Apr 2015 17:03. Here are a couple of fun ways to reduce repetitive code in C. To illustrate them, I'll implement FizzBuzz with the constraint that I must mention Fizz and Buzz only once in each implementation. NULL & fputs(s, stdout)! EOF; } int main(void) { for (int i = 0; true; i ) { bool done = false; / if a predicate is true...
