Brians' ramblings: July 2011
http://brianwebster1.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, 31 July 2011. We recently had Gills' grandson David come and stay with us for a week, and as the weather was reasonably good we had a number of outings. The first one was a day trip to the Outer Hebrides and the Island of Lewis. This necessitated a very early start in order to catch the Cal Mac ferry the M.V. Isle of Lewis from Ullapool to Stornoway. The crossing takes about two and three quarter hours and crosses one of the most treachorous. Stretches of water around our coast, the Minch. The se...

Brians' ramblings

Friday, 7 June 2013. 2013 started with me approaching the BIG 60 and I decided to spend it in my favourite ski resort of Davos. I had a glorious 10 days skiing, only spoilt by developing a tooth abscess on my birthday which resulted in an expensive visit to the local hospital and two visits to a local dentist. Due to an injury to my shoulders and neck I was banned from using a rucsac and was not able to go with Malcolm, Phil and Tony on their walk up Scafell Pike. Back in Nairn in the middle of May, our ...

Brians' ramblings: May 2014
http://brianwebster1.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, 25 May 2014. New life on the river. A couple of weeks ago our resident pair of swans on the River Nairn, Popeye and Penny produced eight new bundles of fluff. The first couple of photographs were taken when they were just 3 days old. This next batch were taken yesterday and they are now 10 days old. Here are a few photographs of the surviving ducklings. Many thanks to Joe for allowing me to get up close and personal with the Cygnets yesterday. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). New life on the river.
