This Is My Life. Thursday, June 11, 2015. The first seven weeks of reality. The past seven weeks have been full of family, cleaning, finding out about weddings and engagements, band concerts, friends visiting, road trips, food, birthdays, and awkward adjustment. Nothing out of the ordinary. Coming home from a mission is so much harder than I ever anticipated. Finding that balance between being in the world but not of the world becomes the challenge of every single day. Pray daily. Multiple times a day.

February 19 - Rachel opens the email congratulating her on admittance to the BYU School of Music as a part of the trumpet studio! I went with her to the audition the end of January and am amazed at her talent and hard work and passion for her music. So grateful she gets the chance to follow her dream! She did manage to get her license and have her 16th birthday! Nathan, Blair and I are just dreaming as we sleep for now.

Saturday, March 15, 2014. Lifting us from the Depths. One night in particular I was burdened down with never-ending knee problems, feeling useless, and a whole slough of other insecurities. I'm pretty sure I was laying on the floor in a crumpled, broken pile when my best friend and companion came over to me and reached down her hand and helped me up. God LOVED us so He sent His Son. Christ, Jesus the Atoning One. And what a blessing that is to know that. I love it. I love my Savior. I love my Father.

How awesome is the Spirit that is so stong and testifies to investigators about the truthfullness of this Gospel. It's just amazing. His whole talk was based on how you can't teach without the Spirit. You can be the best missionary ever with the most elequent way of speaking, but it's the Spirit that converts.
