Seems ironic that during one of the most tumultuous times of a person’s life, I was thriving with confidence and self-assurance but as I grew into an adult, that seems to have slipped away. Words on life, learning, love and salt! Preggo at 44: The End Is Near. June 17, 2015. I’m around 37 weeks pregnant. My feet are so swollen. My legs and hips hurt. I’ve gained 40 pounds and my body is protesting. The baby is about 7-1/2 pounds right now and not remotely ready to come out. I’m cranky in this never-ending heat and humidity. We’re having July/August weather in June. Does that mean we’ll get September weather in July? I feel like everything is getting away from me. All I want to do is sleep.
