Struggling Developers: December 2008

http://strugglingdevelopers.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Tuesday, December 16, 2008. Text encryption on PHP. A long time ago I had to implement text encryption on Java for some messages that needed to be sent through a socket, and I found a very good encryption algorithm on the net. Recently I needed text encryption for a similar scenario, but this time the technology was PHP. So, I decided to "translate" this algorithm from Java to PHP and now I want to share it with you, in case you need it. Function encrypt($text, $seed) {. EncText = " ;. For ($x=0; $x.

Struggling Developers: September 2008

http://strugglingdevelopers.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 25, 2008. MySQL full-text search optimization. A while ago we where developing a classified ads site for one of our most important clients. In this site, every ad belongs to a region (city, country) and a category (e.g. vehicles buy/sell cars). When the visitor accesses the homepage, the region is determined from their IP address so only the ads for that region are displayed (the visitor can change the region) and every search is performed only for the ads on that region as well.

Thursday, August 8, 2013. Disclosure: Sleep Number provided me a bed in exchange for a review. However, all opinions are my own*. Have you ever been to a Sleep Number store? I hadn't prior to my visit and I had no idea what to expect. I have been to other mattress stores where you walk in, lay on a few beds, and leave. Sleep Number is not like this at all! I went in and explained to the staff why I was there and they were so excited! This is the bed. These were the two beds we were able to choose from,.

Saturday, May 26, 2012. Nothing fancy right now - just an update in the Hasselfeld Home Horticulture dept. We did the salsa garden! Rubbermaid tote - painted. I won't hardly ever use it, but I liked it with the color combo. Here is the lone Roma Tomato plant (transplanted from the smaller empty pot) and the lone Jalepeno!
