It's Kili Time: March (Travel) Madness: Mt. Meru
http://itskilitime.blogspot.com/2011/03/march-travel-madness-mt-meru.html
Tuesday, March 29, 2011. March (Travel) Madness: Mt. Meru. I think I have probably mentioned one or a hundred times the lack of rain around here. All my complaining managed to catch up with me the one weekend I decided to be outdoors-y girl and drag my rear up the 15,000 ft mountain just outside of. Nevertheless, our weather-luck ran out quickly and the clouds quickly flew in. They managed to hold on to their precipitation for the first 4 hours or so, but then the higher we climbed and neared the sum...

Four Therons: April 2009
http://thetheronfamily.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 30, 2009. Our little man turned 2 on April 29th - it's hard to believe how fast the years have gone by! Jack continues to amaze us every day with all that he does. He has been counting to 10 now for about 2 months, but he's now starting to actually count objects. He's also starting to say the alphabet (albeit a,b,c . x,y,z - - not really sure what happened to the other 20 letters! Good thing Sam is right behind him! It was an absolutely beautiful day for Jack's 2nd birthday! She's the pas...

Four Therons: November 2008
http://thetheronfamily.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 28, 2008. Posing with Mama and Daddy. he wore his football sweater for the day. Too bad all three Turkey Day games were blow outs. Waiting patiently for dinner. Not so patient any more. Jack wanted the chicken to come out of the oven - "Eat! He exclaimed while pointing to Gerald. Gerald made a wonderful dinner, again! I guess you need to start somewhere. This first picture of Jack eating was actually last year. I still can't believe the year has gone by so quickly! Grampa G. and Gera...

It's Kili Time: About
http://itskilitime.blogspot.com/p/about.html
While we seem to have the hang of life here at the moment (at least that is the excuse I am stickin' to), it was well time to start focusing on sharing and recording our life here with a little creative exercise for Mama. It will mostly be me writing since I am not the one busy chasing down war criminals (that's Husband's j-o-b! But from time to time you might see something here about Roger's work with the UN. And running my own little specialty foods business. Thanks for visiting, Rebecca.

Saturday, June 11, 2011. Still here, just not there anymore! You all are used to long drawn-out pauses around here so I will save the excuses. We left Arusha about 3 weeks ago and have been traipsing across America ever since! We'll be visiting family and friends until June 30th when we embark on a 25 hour journey across the Pacific to our new home in Phnom Penh. At that point we will have traveled three quarters of the way around the globe from Arusha to America to Phnom Penh! June 11, 2011 at 2:23 AM.

It's Kili Time: For the Momma's
http://itskilitime.blogspot.com/2009/07/for-mommas.html
Sunday, July 26, 2009. Of course the converse of all this is that monthly childcare cost about the same as 15 packages of diapers! At least I don’t have to contend with the 8. Deadly sin of stroller envy! While initially off-putting, I am starting to get used to it as is Amelia. She truly knows how to play to her adoring fans. Those are the most notable differences. Oh yeah, and they’re called “nappies” not diapers! August 3, 2009 at 10:53 AM. August 5, 2009 at 6:17 AM. Do parents in Tanzania swaddle?

It's Kili Time: Four Months, Four Continents–Asia (at last!)
http://itskilitime.blogspot.com/2011/08/four-months-four-continentsasia-at-last.html
Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Four Months, Four Continents–Asia (at last! We finally made it! It only took ten flights and sleeping in ten different beds over the course of ten weeks to get us into our own house in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Admittedly, we’ve actually been in-country for about 6 weeks now. But I wanted to wait and write until we actually were in our new home which only happened. Three weeks ago. And extra bonus, our shipment from Arusha arrived. Just the other day. But not totally. To be su...

It's Kili Time: Life in Arusha - Really? You have to stop your car there?
http://itskilitime.blogspot.com/2010/09/life-in-arusha-really-you-have-to-stop.html
Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Life in Arusha - Really? You have to stop your car there? Driving in Arusha requires a lot of cojones. Although we have adapted well to this new style of driving, I never cease to be amazed on a daily basis by some of the manoeuvrings I witness (or even pull myself! The trunk pop open, a red tarp pulled out and very neatly laid under the front of the car (really? You break down so much you have a tarp in your trunk! You will note how tight it was for that sedan car on the lef...

Tuesday, May 3, 2011. The weekend began with Prince William's. Wedding. His big day was eclipsed by the birth of Mariah Carey's. Twins Then we moved on from Mariah when some dude in Pakistan. Was killed. But now, perhaps you'd like to turn your attention to this piece of breaking news: We are moving to Phnom Penh, Cambodia! The Temples at Angkor Wat. After I typed the phrase "running amok. And its in that spirit that I use the phrase as it will characterize our life for the next 2 - 3 months! Ps: need no...
