tea & traditions

Tuesday, December 7, 2010. TEA and TRADITIONS FAREWELL. It is with great sadness that I announce that Tea and Traditions will be closing at the end of this month. It has been an amazing three years and I am grateful for the people I have met and the opportunities it has provided me. It is getting increasingly difficult to keep up with a growing family and business. IT'S A GREAT TIME TO BUY THOSE CHRISTMAS GIFTS! I will miss all of my customers, being at One of a Kind and most of all being your "tea lady".

tea & traditions: THE HISTORY OF EARL GREY

http://teaandtraditions.blogspot.com/2010/03/history-of-earl-grey.html

Friday, March 19, 2010. THE HISTORY OF EARL GREY. What is it about this tea anyway? It does not matter what type of tea is used, it is the oil of bergamot that is added. Bergamot is the Turkish name given to a pear-shaped fruit (Citrus bergamia) which is grown around the Mediterranean for the oil which can be pressed out of the rind and used in perfumery. The age-old question is how did it get in the Earl’s tea? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Tea and Traditions Website.

Just another WordPress.com weblog. One of the wonderful ladies in my life from back home sent me an e-mail with this passage (that she had read that morning) and I found it to be incredibly inspiring🙂 Just thought I’d pass it on and share how amazingly personal My Lord is…yesterday, today, and FOREVER! I love the LORD, for he heard my voice;. He heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me,. I will call on him as long as I live…. Just another WordPress.com weblog. October 12th – November 9th. Oh my goodness…I don’t even know where to begin. So much has happened since my last entry! I suppose I’ll give the main highlights, and then expand wherever my creative whims desire! 1) I visited Beaune. Avec my host parents, Philippe, Marie-Paule, and her friend. It was gorgeous! Of course, since it’s a wine-village, there were vineyards. Thus, Marie-Paule and her friend window shopped while Philippe and I visited a wine cellar. 3) After sc...

For one, most houses don’t have real showers; they have bathtubs with a detachable showerhead you have to hold the whole time. Thus, for me, the Longest-Hottest-Shower Queen, the art of French bathing has not been easy to adjust to! 8221; “Oui! 8220;Ca va, Lacey?

tea and travels – Adventures as I step out to live and work in Uganda for five months

Adventures as I step out to live and work in Uganda for five months. I spent a fantastic three months doing a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene at Liverpool to learn more about working in a resource-poor setting before going away. We had the privilege of being taught by some amazing lecturers and learning more about worms than I ever knew was possible. By the end of it we had a bizarre fascination with looking at stool samples down a microscope! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.
