Sunday, November 28, 2010. Come and see the blood in the streets" (It's up to my knees). That's what we were doing yesterday when all hell broke loose. His stuff is all packed up. Lauren's Blog: Manga Madness

http://laurenbomberger.blogspot.com/2010/11/manga-madness.html

Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Boy oh boy, would Dr. Faber be thrilled to see this version of Shakespeare. I'm sure that she'd have some witty comment to say about it. As for me, I don't know how you couldn't enjoy it. I forced myself to read the original play version first, keeping in mind that the manga version was awaiting me once I finished the humdrum of the original. Students could gage their understanding by reading the manga version before and after the original version. November 3, 2010 at 6:20 AM.

School, Work and Pokemon!: I Watch Them Leave

http://sm9432.blogspot.com/2010/12/i-watch-them-leave.html

School, Work and Pokemon! I rarely have time for work and Pokemon right now, so this blog will compile all of my Adolescent Literature blogs! Thursday, December 2, 2010. I Watch Them Leave. Last week, my friend Ingrid and her family were taken away. I don't know where they went, but I was devastated. Three weeks ago, my cousin and her family were taken away. I am stuck, watching my friends and family being taken week by week- waiting for my turn. Posted by Samantha McMullen. View my complete profile.

Evelyn Cruzat: Gone on a Sunday...

http://collegemom21.blogspot.com/2010/12/gone-on-sunday.html

Thursday, December 2, 2010. Gone on a Sunday. Beautiful, masculine one. A quick embrace before he checked in his luggage, and then another long one just before he went past security, and then he was gone. I sobbed then, my face turned away. What did his eyes look like when he was happy? What did he smell like again? I asked myself internally in absolute panic. The child stirred in his carseat, murmuring comfortably. He was only three weeks old. He is only three weeks old! Had he thought of me?

a.teps: title pending

http://atepsich.blogspot.com/2010/12/title-pending.html

Wednesday, December 15, 2010. I literally have been contemplating just the TITLE of this blog since Dr. Shannon sent out the e-mail about the optional blog we could write for the end of the semester. As you can see, my title is still pending because I really cannot come up with one particular title that sums up our entire semester with one another. And it became (and still is) my favorite class I have ever had, EVER in my life (even over my sculpting classes in 3rd grade! December 15, 2010 at 8:26 PM.

smiles and sunny days: Fish Cheeks

http://brittanypaigewilson.blogspot.com/2010/11/fish-cheeks.html

Smiles and sunny days. Wednesday, November 17, 2010. Anyway, I get it. And I'm glad there was a section at the end posting that she understands now because I think in the end we all realize silliness of our youth and that's just what her shame is: silliness. November 17, 2010 at 7:49 PM. I agree with you! I think that this is a particularly easy text for a woman to connect to simply because (at one time or another) weve all been mortified in front of a cute boy! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Sub Notes | Making a difference a day at a time

Making a difference a day at a time. As I study the challenges that substitute teachers face, I have come to the conclusion that one of the things that make subbing difficult is the breakdown of procedures in the classroom. Some classrooms, particularly at the Elementary School. In a class for an extended period (that is, more than one day) you are unlikely to get the chance to review and learn all such procedures. What then is a sub to do? I have a short Power Point. Making your procedures slightly outr...

Teaching Adult ELL

Thursday, November 19, 2009. Where I go to listen. I love languages and I try to keep the ones I know alive by listening to different radio stations and websites. I believe that you have to be able to hear the language to be able to reproduce it. I think that having your English language learners hear other languages helps them isolate English and maybe tune them in early to the language they are studying.
