Jon In Jerusalem: June 2006

http://joninjerusalem.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html

Hungary 2008!!

Wednesday, March 10, 2010. Well, it's been just over a month that I have been home, and what an adjustment period it has been. I do have to say that while I'm still adjusting to the day to day operations of being at home, I do really appreciate being back in the great state of Minnesota. I did not feel this way the first few weeks I was back - when I was shoveling for my parents who are wintering in Florida. Yes, they are "wintering" in Florida. That means they are really truly old right? Getting out of ...

An Introduction to Second-Language Speech Research. August 15, 2014 /. I can see evidence of this hypothesis. My ability to perceive what is being said developed much faster than that of my production. In fact, my intonation is still somewhat governed by my L1 (English) as I use too much of it in a language that has comparatively little intonation and sounds very flat when spoken. In fact, this is part of the evidence that I have not yet acquired the language fully! Language Learning, 49. July 29, 2014 /.
