Inside Texas Govt: Texas...The accepting state

http://texasgovt2013.blogspot.com/2013/07/texasthe-accepting-state.html

Friday, July 26, 2013. Of course if you live in central Austin you will never find that but, north Austin is wonderful and really can not imagine living any where else. The question is what's the secret? I plan on living in Texas as long as possible. I feel secure in this state, like we can make it through the "tough times". As long as the job is here for me I am here to stay! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Texas Government Online Journal. Laura's Texas Govt Blog. The Stateof Texas Government Weblog.

Inside Texas Govt: "Texas Shame Act"

http://texasgovt2013.blogspot.com/2013/07/texas-shame-act.html

Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Today I had the pleasure of reading one of the most interesting blogs I have ever read. The Blog is called Mean Rachel and in her blog you can vote on whether or not her post was mean, too mean, or not mean at all. Very Creative Rachel. Though Rachel does not post often I enjoyed reading what she wrote that is now considered "old news". March 2012 she wrote about what she calls the "Texas Shame Act". Inside Texas Govt: Why can't we be friends?

http://texasgovt2013.blogspot.com/2013/07/why-cant-we-be-friends.html

Friday, July 19, 2013. Why can't we be friends? Robbie Cooper author of the UrbanGrounds blog, writes a piece called The Texas Tribune starts it's smear campaign against Attorney general Greg Abbott. This blog which is considered to be a right leaning blog goes on to state how the "so called" no partisan paper is already making bad publicity for Greg Abbott, who recently announced that he would be running for Texas Governer. Texas Politics of "Today and Tomorrow". Friday, July 26, 2013. Blog #5 Texas State and Local Government. Don’t get me wrong, I like for people to voice their opinion, especially if they feel that there is something bothering them. However, I feel that if they are going to voice their opinion, they should take the time to do a little research and not assume that because the clouds are dark, that it is going to rain. History in the Making: Unlikely but Necessary Reform for Immigration

http://learntexasgovernment.blogspot.com/2013/07/unlikely-but-necessary-reform-for.html

History in the Making. Friday, July 26, 2013. Unlikely but Necessary Reform for Immigration. House leaders call for more border security, enforcement on immigration laws, and a fixed system to strengthen the economy. The key component towards helping our economy, however, is the legalized workforce that will come from citizenship. The housing market would be enhanced with more demand and higher prices, and the growth in jobs would allow for more entrepreneurs to rise up to the demand of a broken economy.

Friday, July 19, 2013. The article, “ The Top Ten Things I Will MissAbout Rick Perry. Casares’ targeted audience I believe is every Texan, young or old. It is targeted to everyone, because every Texan was affected by this, solely because Rick Perry has been our governor for over a decade! I also believe Casares did an amazing job at providing valid and hilarious reasons as to why she and others should be celebrating the departure of Perry from the governor’s position. Is the title of the article written by a fellow classmate, Natasha Ahmed. Her article is a well-written article, however, I think that it only shows her point of view. History in the Making: Capital Punishment: Retribution for the Righteous

http://learntexasgovernment.blogspot.com/2013/08/capital-punishment-retribution-for.html

History in the Making. Friday, August 9, 2013. Capital Punishment: Retribution for the Righteous. People naturally respond to incentives. As for the case of punishment, people are inclined to steer away from it, which is why capital punishment continues to exist in Texas. However, the reason capital punishment is still a case debated today is because of differing opinions towards the level of justice that should be permitted. In a blog post titled, “Capital Punishment: Retribution for the Righteous...

Texas Gov Interpreted by Josh. Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Ignorant Civil Rights Activists Can Eat My Shorts. There have been plans floating about lately for a so called “Fusion Center.” This proposed Center would allow Austin law officials to share its criminal information with other government agencies.
