Tracie's Journal: October 2013
http://traciepeterson.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 18, 2013. Missoula Festival of the Book. A week ago this time, I was having a great deal of fun with a one-day writer's conference and a weekend book festival in Missoula, MT. As a part of Montana's ACFW group MT Pages, my hubby and I were asked to teach at the one day writer retreat. Jim taught on research since that's his field of knowledge and I spoke on brainstorming before breaking into groups to practice my tips. We had so much fun. We had two tables of books for sale and met a lot ...

Tracie's Journal: Blue Jeans Friday
http://traciepeterson.blogspot.com/2015/02/blue-jeans-friday.html
Friday, February 13, 2015. I don't know about you, but I love blue jeans. This was probably born out of my being a teenager in the 70's when jeans were the standard of living for most of us teens. But, since I write historical novels, I thought it would be fun to share some of the history of blue jeans on this Friday - which for many offices is a casual dress day. Levi Strauss is credited with the actual creation of what would become blue jeans. So why were jeans created? Another interesting side note is...

Sunday, January 25, 2015. The Contagiousness of Complaining. Years ago I worked in an office with a lot of other women. In fact, I worked in several such offices and one thing was always common. If one woman started complaining about something—everyone else joined in with their complaints. It was as if the very act of complaining was contagious. One of the worst places I've seen for complaining—a place where it spreads terrible damage—is in the church. Because that’s the very place Satan wants to c...

http://traciepeterson.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 14, 2013. Here We Go Again! My hubby and I are going to hit the road next week. We get to have a wonderful Thanksgiving meal with extraordinary Southern cook Kimberley Woodhouse and her family. Kim and Jeremy were very gracious to invite us to share the holiday, as well as their son and daughter's graduation. Kayla and Joshua aren't twins, but they are graduating homeschool high school together. Now for the booksigning information - if you're in Colorado Springs, I hope you'll join us!

Tracie's Journal: Ode to Joy
http://traciepeterson.blogspot.com/2015/04/ode-to-joy.html
Sunday, April 12, 2015. Just got back from hearing the Bozeman Symphony perform Ode to Joy - Beethoven's 9th. Amazing. Is the only word that comes to mind. Bozeman definitely has its share of talented people and the orchestra that perform is no exception. I've always been a great fan of Beethoven's 9th anyway and this was such a neat way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee, God of glory, Lord of love. Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee, opening to the sun above.

Tracie's Journal: December 2013
http://traciepeterson.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 20, 2013. Christmas is such a wonderful time for friends and family. It’s an amazing time of reflection and inspiration. Not to make you sad, but it’s also a time when the suicide rates are highest. Isn’t that sad? The very holiday that we celebrate the birth of our Savior is a time when so many people give up. Often the reason is due to empty chairs. Chairs can be empty for a lot of reasons. Family and friends are too busy to visit or come by. It keeps us up to date on each other. It...
