Tuesday, 29 March 2011. Two weekends ago I took part in a Maker faire in Newcastle. We yarn bombed the city and knitted neurons. Here is the journal page I made from all the bits I picked up there. The final page for this post is two pages, one from the Lincoln holiday and one I did for Valentines day. Thank you for looking I am enjoying sharing. Monday, 28 March 2011. Thank you to Nuvofelt. Journaling Journeys: Blind Flowers

http://sheilasembroidery-journalingjourneys.blogspot.com/2011/04/blind-flowers.html

Wednesday, 13 April 2011. At the end of March I followed Chittle Chattle's. Blind flower tutorial and wasn't too impressed with my efforts. Duly it was forgotten and I moved on. On the next two pages I did some very wet water colour and salt diffusion. One, was on the back of my blind flowers, it didn't come out very well but the other one did. Journaling Journeys: Memories page

http://sheilasembroidery-journalingjourneys.blogspot.com/2011/05/memories-page.html

Sunday, 1 May 2011. Gives a much better tutorial than I can for creating these images so follow her blog and get lots of tips for your journal. Then I took part of the picture by tearing round the heads - I have to admit that I did this quite a while ago and have used it in memory work before. So I did the same procedure on Photoshop and got this image. Here is the final page. I just have to date and sign it. 1 May 2011 at 11:44. 1 May 2011 at 14:24. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://sheilasembroidery-journalingjourneys.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Sunday, 15 May 2011. Just come back from a week in Keswick, Cumbria. My new journal is a rather sweet, handbag sized Moleskine. It meant that wherever I went I always had it with me. This one is a bit like my old fashioned diary which I used to keep when away on holiday - but with a twist. I tried to make it more pictoral, rather than wordy. There is still a lot of work to do on it and I didn't do Friday, the day we came home. I just had to write a short poem when visiting the stone circles. Then I took ...

Textile Treasury

My life in stitches. Tuesday, 14 July 2015. My second Fakenham Makers Market. A slight rejig of my stand presentation, Jim made a cushion stand for me, I painted it various colours, you can just see here. Lovely friend Yvonne Autie loaned me her hanging rail which made the quilts much tidier and easier to view. It worked! I sold a large double quilt! Another Moonlit Hare cushion attracted much comment, but did not sell this time. I could NOT leave out a couple of shots of the brilliant toilet facilities!
