Hello, and thanks for visiting my little corner of the internet! And here are some facts about me:. I'm currently studying French, German and Chinese at the University of Birmingham, UK. I graduate this summer and although I'm excited about post-uni life, I'll still be so sad when the time comes to leave. I live in a little Victorian terraced house with my boyfriend and four of my other friends. It's great- we have brilliant fun together. I'm left-handed and I think I suit it. Wednesday, 13 February 2013. Thoughts on the au pairing experience (thus far). Last week saw my halfway point here in Weimar- six months down, six to go. Although I believe that I still haven't quite worked out exactly how I feel about the whole experience, I have come to the conclusion that my time au pairing has been simultaneously one of the hardest and most rewarding periods of my life. Can't do that. Are you hung over after a Friday night out and want to shut yourself in your room for the day?

Monday, 12 November 2012. I am officially a Mr! The university have agreed to change my title on the university system from 'miss' to 'Mr'. What I should be worrying about at uni. I think this shows just how much of a difference it makes having help and support from tutors. I have two tutors who have my back on this issue and it makes such a huge difference to my life for the better. I can go into university and not have to worry about it being me against the world, I don't. We have the same poker face.

Monday, 17 June 2013. I have graduated with a first class degree and am absolutely over the moon. Now having time to reflect I can look back at the whole three years of university, at the beginning I was really nervous, quiet and a less happy version of the person I now am. Having left the place I grew up in two years ago, I recently visited for the first time. And in essence, it cemented what I already knew - I had been a child there, but I could never have been an adult.
