How to Find Us. Although Aston Tirrold is a quiet and secluded village there are excellent transport connections to the road. The village is situated approximately four miles from Didcot Parkway main line station with frequent fast services to London Paddington, Reading, Swindon, Oxford and Bristol. It is also a similar distance to Cholsey and Goring stations which provide local stopping services to the same destinations and to the intermediate stations. Utilities and Local Enterprises.

Our two villages have three churches between them:. St Michael’s in Aston Tirrold. The United Reformed Church in Aston Tirrold. All Saints in Aston Upthorpe. The churches are a vital organ of the community and many of the organised activities are generated by and on behalf of the churches. Wonderful events such as ‘Ride and Stride’, the Harvest Festival, a summer Safari Supper, Quiet Days, talks, watercolour painting days, film afternoons, and fundraising sales. Twitten studio: Watercolours by Susanna Brunskill, Lin Kerr and Ken Messer. The design celebrated the restoration of St. Michael's church clock and was produced in cooperation with the Astons Parochial Church Council. All profit (over 300) from the sale of the cards went towards the upkeep of St. Michael's church tower, clock and bells.

I belong to two art groups. Astons' Artists. Formed in the summer of 2008 and The Dillon Artists. A family group of four based in Devon. I moved to Aston Tirrold when I was seven and am really pleased to live here again having lived in London and the Middle East. The Astons Art group called ASTONS' ARTISTS recently formed and has been going strong for many years now. The Dillon Artists Group formed in 2008.
