The bungalow provides ample space both indoors and outdoors for a comfortable holiday. Most day-to-day requirements are a short distance away. A caretaker is available at all times. The large lawns can be used for non-noisy intimate parties of up to 100 persons. Two air-conditioned en suite double bedrooms with large sitting-cum-dining area (600 sq feet), modern kitchen with refrigerator and washing machine. One non-air-conditioned en suite single bedroom. Reverse Osmosis plant for clean and safe water.

The Backwaters Prize submission period is April 1 - May 31. This contest is open to anyone writing in English, whether the poet has previous book publications or not. Full-length manuscript, (between 60 and 85 pages, not including credits, title page, contents page) original poetry in English (no translations). May be a collection or a single long poem. Use standard poetry format; that is, single-spaced, with double-spacing between stanzas. Winner will be allowed to make changes to text.
