History | Bay of Islands Singers

http://www.theboisingers.org.nz/about-us/history

The choir can trace its roots back to 1964 when a choral group started performing Easter and Christmas concerts in Kaikohe. About us | Bay of Islands Singers

http://www.theboisingers.org.nz/about-us

The choir is certainly about singing and improving your voice and choral skills, but that’s not all. What keeps people coming, year in and year out, is that it’s a friendly and supportive community where firm friendships are made and a lot of fun is to be had. We hold regular social events, and fund-raising endeavours such as street-stalls are an opportunity for singers to work together in a common cause. Our Charities Commission Registration Number is CC23401. President/Secretary - Denise Pitts.

Our lease on Broad Street ended May, and due to a number of factors we were not able to remain in that building. Faced with this dilemma, we have had to wrestle with either shutting down The Venue entirely because of rising costs and lack of space or relocating outside of Downtown Boise. So we are now on the other side of the valley, to 424 E. Elgin St in Caldwell, right off the 10th street exit. In case you haven’t been out to the new space, here are some upgrades:. 4 The Beatnik Café. Will open soon (h...

Welcome to the Bay of Islands Singers’ website. We are a mixed-voice community choir of around 60 singers. Though based at the Turner Centre. Most of our performances are accompanied by musical ensembles and often feature talented young and established soloists. Three concerts in the year are costly to put on, and we are grateful to our various financial Supporters. To allow us these opportunities to perform. The choir has built up a library of music over the years and this is available for hire. Manuscr...

Friday, October 10, 2014. Thursday, August 14, 2014. My boys are outside. All. Day. Long. Hot, cold, rain, sleet, snow, you get the idea. They are all boy. Riding four wheelers, jumping on trampolines, chasing neighborhood dogs, terrorizing ants, trick-or-treating (all year), we even eat lunch outside most days. Monday, July 14, 2014. Does anyone else feel like they are screwing up this whole parenting thing? I am constantly second guessing myself and wondering if I'm the only one. Enough hugs and kisses?
