Taking It All In: August 2012
http://mmmellowyellow.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Taking It All In. Thursday, August 16, 2012. Catch a TIGER by its tail. Yesterday when I picked Canaan up from daycare, this is what I found. Canaan was not there, but the cutest tiger greeted me. She said, "Mommy, come look in the mirror! I guess she didn't know I could see her face without looking in the mirror. Then she gave me her angry tiger face. When we got home, she gave me the many faces of a tiger. Swimming at the lake. CUTEST Texas Rangers' fan. I'm not gonna lie. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Taking It All In: September 2014
http://mmmellowyellow.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Taking It All In. Tuesday, September 9, 2014. It was only a matter of time. Max waited almost a month before finding relief from the heat in the new pool. We have spiders all over the place here. It is amazing how quickly they build these webs between objects.especially objects that seem too far from each other. While I don't like the spiders, I think their webs are pretty incredible. I'm especially thankful when they're outside rather than in the house. Silly kiddos riding their plasma cars. Canaan foun...

Taking It All In: October 2014
http://mmmellowyellow.blogspot.com/2015/01/october-2014.html
Taking It All In. Friday, January 2, 2015. A snapshot of October. Yet another bug. Canaan loves bugs and seems to find them each time she goes outside. How does she notice something so small? Making a stain glass craft with paper to hang in the window. Reading before bed. We pulled out Canaan's trundle bed and Jude slept in Canaan's room for a few weeks. They really enjoyed being in the same room. A field trip to the pumpkin patch and corn field maze with friends. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Five to Eight: 11/01/2008 - 12/01/2008
http://fivetoeight.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 25, 2008. I was reading another mom's blog the other day and she had a picture of Dick and Jane.with her children all probably cozied around her reading it. Her quote was "I was made for this". Frankly.when I'm reading Dick and Jane with Marie I want to tear my hair out. I don't think I was made for this. (I AM doing this because I think it's the right thing to do now.but it isn't easy! How can the word Spot.in the very next sentence.be Fluff? And you were a REAL teacher! Afterwards the...

spiritual wheaties: On being okay not being type A
http://spiritualwheaties.blogspot.com/2014/09/on-being-okay-not-being-type-a.html
My thoughts on teaching high school and how I feel about accepting God's grace. (and other ideas that are totally irrelevant). Thursday, September 18, 2014. On being okay not being type A. What is the opposite of type A? My to-do list will always be long but it won't be overly ambitious. As the holidays approach, I think about how I want to enjoy the holidays, not chase them. I tend to think I enjoy life and do well at life, but I did cancel my subscription to Martha Stewart Living, too much pressure.

My thoughts on teaching high school and how I feel about accepting God's grace. (and other ideas that are totally irrelevant). Monday, July 8, 2013. It's been a while. What kind of communication do I provide? What relationship skills are most important to me? How can I best meet my partner's needs in this moment? It's been a while. I finally see the heart in the strawberry. I get it. August 14, 2013 at 1:19 PM. February 25, 2014 at 8:41 PM. Have you quit blogging? April 14, 2014 at 7:31 PM.

My thoughts on teaching high school and how I feel about accepting God's grace. (and other ideas that are totally irrelevant). Saturday, August 25, 2012. The heart of the matter. Are we honest with ourselves? I mean, there are some little white lies we tell all the time, but are we honest with ourselves about the things that really matter? It's hard to do, right? Remember that scene in The Matrix when Morpheus tells Neo to choose between the pills? Links to this post. Friday, August 3, 2012. But I DISCOV...

spiritual wheaties: December 2012
http://spiritualwheaties.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
My thoughts on teaching high school and how I feel about accepting God's grace. (and other ideas that are totally irrelevant). Thursday, December 27, 2012. Let be." I think this means that since none of us can know when our time will come, why worry about what we can't control? Why allow the fears to get the better of me? I know a couple things for sure; that I am loved, that I love, and that life will have its good and bad times. The readiness for life (and all that encompasses) is all. Ice To The Brim.
