Coulsden Cottage, Bakewell. There are 7 pubs in the centre of Bakewell - All within 5 min walk from Coulsden Cottage. Most of them do standard pub food but the best one for food is the Manners. In addition to these there are also takeaways including Chinese, Indian, Italian and Fish and Chips - again, all within a 5 min walk. There is indeed good provisioning here with a regular grocery store and a Save-A-Lot-type store within walking distance, and a small grocery down by the harbor. We were warned that everything is very expensive here and we're finding it to be true. A large bag of corn chips cost $9. I guess that's another reason to cut down on snacks.
