Friday, June 24, 2011. The lake was lovely and peaceful and captivating. The park that runs alongside the lake is equally as lovely. The water is ridiculously beautiful and blue! Saturday, August 4, 2012. I returned to Chicago after my whirlwind trip to Louisiana and brought my nephew, Austin, back with me. He moved in for 2 weeks and it was ridiculous amounts of fun! We explored Chicago, watched somewhere around 14 million movies, consumed a gazillion drinks from Starbucks, shopped, laughed, competed in GLEE Wii, and much much much more. He is a great guy and handsome to boot! Here's Austin's trip in pictures. His first ride on the train. He looks like he belongs in the city!

Beauty and the Beef. Thursday, October 30, 2014. Our Baby is No Longer a Baby. Our Matthias Theodore turned one year old last month. It was a surreal feeling for his birthday to come around. On one hand it felt as though he was still that chubby newborn with a head of dark hair and on the other it felt like a lifetime had passed. This year has presented some heavy trials for us and we are thankful that Matthias has been a big bright spot. Matthias and Marcus- cousins and little buddies. Links to this post.
