March 22, 2011. Spaghetti Squash with Green Pea Pesto and Beans. Spring is here. apparently. That is, if you go by the calendar. There have been some teaser days spent mostly outdoors, along with a few healthy thunderstorms. However, I am not measuring the change of seasons by this criteria - the evidence that I seek is the vegetables! Spaghetti Squash with Green Pea Pesto and Beans. 1 large spaghetti squash (3-4 lbs). 1 15 oz can cannellini beans (or chickpeas), drained and rinsed. 1 tsp dried oregano.

http://itsbellasbedtime.blogspot.com/2014/07/june-goodbye-hello-july.html
Tuesday, July 15, 2014. June Goodbye, Hello July! Though published in July, this post was started in June amidst internet issues. When I logged in tonight to write a post, I found it hanging out in the drafts. Enjoy! I'm tempted to ask, "Has there ever really been a bad June? Notice how I don't have any photos of his birthday dinner, but I have one of our car. In my defense, he took this and sent it to me. I promise. Now, as I've mentioned before, it has been a busy summer with my coursework, too. St...

Friday, January 31, 2014. For your listening pleasure, some mood music to serenade you while you read:. Wished we could be normal, too. Turns out my mom was really kind of a hipster, huh? By now, we've all heard the criticism that Valentine's Day is a commercial ploy to guilt consumers into purchases, and after growing up with my mom, I get that. Greeting cards, chocolates, jewelry, fancy dinners, cutesy bears, ad nauseam. Totally not the point, true. I finally convinced her to make crafts with me! With ...

Bacon, Basil, and Tomato Risotto

Stay in touch 24/7. Bacon, Basil, and Tomato Risotto. September 28, 2010. Though I’m somewhat of a creature of habit, I try really, really hard not to be. I believe in a healthy balance. Which means that while I may crave risotto every single week (along with flatbread), I try to make it different every time I make it. Variety is the spice of life after all, yes? It was the perfect night for me to make risotto. Chilly, rainy, and all-around gross. Bacon, Basil, and Tomato Risotto. 3 slices thick-cut bacon.

There was an error in this gadget. Monday, August 15, 2011. Mini Lasagnas: Too Cute To Eat, Too Twee To Live. Last night we cleaned ourselves up and took a break to go wish our friend Nestor a happy birthday and drink some whiskey and eat some cake. May I recommend Berkshire Mountain Distiller's bourbon. It is tasty and immensely drinkable. I have tried almost all of their gins, and like them very much. I am pretty sure they have a small distribution area but if you can get it, do. This is a great meal f...

Monday, September 29, 2014. Besito Mexican Restaurant Burlington, MA. I am spoiled by living in Somerville. I can literally walk or bike to a large variety of different restaurants and bars anytime I wish (even though I always find myself going to the same few places). With that being said, it's rare for me to venture out (to the 'burbs, no less! For a meal. And if I do, that meal better be damn good. Thankfully, my recent meal at Besito Mexican Restaurant. Was well worth the short trip over to Burlington.

The Economical Nutritionist | Eating Clean and Homemaking on The Cheap
Eating Clean and Homemaking on The Cheap. Lets face it, I hate cleaning. I would rather relax by a pool with a great book and a pina colada in hand. Alas, I cannot always be on vacation and the reality of it is, I would rather make some effort than to live in a dump. One of the best tips I have found to ensure my home says clean and organized is to break tasks into different days. Totally helped things click for me and keeps my home peaceful. Monday: dust furniture and clean floors- mop, sweep, vacuum.
