The Next Patch . Celebrating life's great adventures. Monday, 30 April 2012. Bonjour from glorious Paris, it is now 1 week since we arrived here from Nantes - how time flies when you are having fun. But before I get to Paris a little more about our sight seeing in and around Nantes. We visited the Feydeau Island area of Nantes with its charming buildings dating from 1723, many of which began to lean as soon as they were completed! Bikes are a favoured means of transport. The beautiful gold entry gate.

http://thenextpatch.blogspot.com/2014/07/celebrating-creative-talent-colour.html

The Next Patch . Celebrating life's great adventures. Thursday, 24 July 2014. Celebrating creative talent and colour. Yesterday I added yet another adventure to my Gap Year Wanderings when I took the train to historic Bath to see the Kaffe Fasset exhibition at the American Museum. Kaffe is a world renowned knitwear and textile designer. His maxim is to find colour in a grey world and I think by any measure he has achieved this! There is always room in the fabric stash for another piece of Kaffe's fabric.

My learning to fly journey. It all began here. Thursday, December 13, 2012. Oh gee, I hate that when I can't see them! Says Shane, furiously looking around the sky from our cruise at 4500 feet. What do you mean? I reply, getting a little worried. That guy that just broadcast that he's exactly at our height in the same region! Mate, that was me! I just made that call." I chuckle. Oh sh#t. I didn't see you talking. Phew! That's ok. Better to be safe than sorry! I decided to ask the CFI at the aero club.

My learning to fly journey. It all began here. Wednesday, April 13, 2011. It's My Wife's Fault! Catching the Flying Bug - My Learning to Fly Journey, Ab-initio to First Solo. The Jabiru is a wonderful aircraft, that to me feels modern and sleek because of its composite construction and even has a Dynon D10, giving a little bit of a 'glass cockpit' feel. I explained to Manny that I have three goals:. 1 - to share a flight with Mel,. 2 - to finally fly with my Dad, and. It worked. It worked so well, th...

It's pretty emotional (or at least I think it is) because it's about a girl who is turned into a zombie during a zombie epidemic where everyone who is infected and found out is killed. The Flying Needle - A Cross Stitcher's Tale

The Flying Needle - A Cross Stitcher's Tale. Friday, January 30, 2015. I choose this kit because it reminded me of the strawberry fields me and my daughter picked from last Spring. I think we walked away with 18 pounds if strawberries! I still have some in the freezer but not many. We are planning on going back this year! This strawberry has clusters of beading that really gives it some great texture. It's hard to tell from the picture though. I also managed to get Project #4 done tonight. I love it!
