The Next Patch . Celebrating life's great adventures. Monday, 30 April 2012. Bonjour from glorious Paris, it is now 1 week since we arrived here from Nantes - how time flies when you are having fun. But before I get to Paris a little more about our sight seeing in and around Nantes. We visited the Feydeau Island area of Nantes with its charming buildings dating from 1723, many of which began to lean as soon as they were completed! Bikes are a favoured means of transport. During my visit I also enjoyed a country walk through the lovely Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve and visited other local picturesque historic villages. Yesterday I added yet another adventure to my Gap Year Wanderings when I took the train to historic Bath to see the Kaffe Fasset exhibition at the American Museum. Kaffe is a world renowned knitwear and textile designer. His maxim is to find colour in a grey world and I think by any measure he has achieved this! There is always room in the fabric stash for another piece of Kaffe's fabric.
