This method really takes the bitterness out of the kale so even if you hate kale you will really really love these kale chips. One of my closest friends, and fellow dietitian, made these for us in October and last night I got inspired to make them for a couple other friends who were coming over for dinner. Sharz’s cakes and more. Homemade Pepper Mint Extract. Have you ever tasted Mint-choc cake? So I thought, since there is plenty of pepper mint leaves at my local grocery store, why not make the extract myself? And that I did with success. Here’s how to go about it🙂. Boil a mixture of 1 cup water and 1 cup of sugar. Chop about 1&1/2 cups of mint leaves. Add the hot water sugar mixture to the mint leaves. Cover it and let it infuse overnight. Covering will prevent the essence from escaping.

Today I would like to share with you some measurements as I get this question most of the time, like “How much is 1cup in grams? 8221; Now you know where to refer to next time I talk of a cup. I use measuring cups, measuring spoons and a small digital kitchen weighing scale. So here you go. 1) All purpose flour. Cup measurements to grams. 1/4 cup=30.25 grams. 1/2 cup=62.5 grams.

Sharz’s cakes and more. Water melon-like cookies for the kiddies :). So this is one easy way to make a kids’ get together colourful and fun. Cut the circles into halves and squeeze in the red part melted chocolate(from a small tube) to make them look like water melon seeds😉. Put in the oven at 180 C/350 F for 12mins. Sharz’s cakes and more. Exotic foods/non cakes and recipes. Bhajias with Tamarind Kachumbari(Kenyan potato appetizer). Ingrediens(depends on how many bhajias you are making, I measure with my eyes) so. A pinch of salt(to taste). 3/4 cup of water. First of all, peel the potatoes, cut them into diagonal halves. Cook them until medium soft. Sieve out the water and let them cool. Now in a frying pan add cooking oil and turn on your cooker to full heat. Bhajias are ready to be served🙂. Margarine – 150g.
