http://coffeeandotherhabits.blogspot.com/2009/12/compass-and-rose-tattoo.html
Coffee and other habits. Little pieces of this and that. Monday, December 28, 2009. Compass and Rose Tattoo. When it comes to tattoos, there are generally three kinds of people: those who have tattoos (and will probably get more), those who would never. Get a tattoo, and those folks in the middle who like. Tattoos, but may never commit to getting one themselves. So here's the story behind this tattoo. I have an old compass that belonged to my grandfather Jack. We were pretty close when I was a ki...The c...

coffee and other habits: Well Hello There, Summer
http://coffeeandotherhabits.blogspot.com/2010/06/well-hello-there-summer.html
Coffee and other habits. Little pieces of this and that. Thursday, June 24, 2010. Well Hello There, Summer. Summer appears to have finally arrived here in the Pacific Northwest. I say finally, as it is June 24th, but this is the way it is most every year. Summer weather really kicks in around the end of June or beginning of July. Most years, June is a time of gray skies and a restlessness that fills the air we breath. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Shelfari: Book reviews on your book blog.

Crunchy Snow Peas: Hello to the New Year
http://stasiacooks.blogspot.com/2012/01/hello-to-new-year.html
Sunday, January 01, 2012. Hello to the New Year. I haven't posted much on this blog. My husband and I had our fist baby in 2011 and I have been focused on the little guy ever since. It seems like I am in a mode of pureeing food for the baby and it's my husband who ends up cooking for the two of us. I am slowly getting back into cooking and I am working toward trying new recipes once again. We have a little family blog. That I post to. Feel free to check it out. Last night I made Roast Chicken.

Friday, May 23, 2014. St Sidell visit–November 2013–part 1. Greg and Amy braved the trip again for us to have a week of LOTS of yummy food (thanksgiving dinner, homemade pho, and takeout Mexican, Thai and pizza) and tons of quality cousin time. The cousin time was especially great – they enjoy each other so much! The girls and I were off for the Veteran’s day holiday and joined the St. Sidells and Nana and Pepere for what feels to be a traditional jaunt to the zoo. Dude, was that necessary? First, the Sh...

Spring things (March 2013). Easter was early this year. Love Easter eggs. And finally, the birdies found Grandpa Derrel’s lovely birdhouse outside mom’s kitchen sink window. Too bad they didn’t stay (this time ). Saturday, November 23, 2013. More March Mad(die-ness) (March 2013). Uncle Greg = exciting stuff! Back at sc...

Sunday, December 29, 2013. Spring is in the air, and on the street! Spring in Washington can be a real treat most years. Last April was crisp and lovely. And these fine days put us in the mood for fresh air and blooming colors. Thursday, December 26, 2013. Our final spring at Nana and Pepere’s Buckley house was perfect. We had fantastic weather – perfect for our little spring flowers. Lots of beautiful and colorful shots. Love the progression in this set. Up and at ‘em! And they’re OFF! Amazing and aweso...

We managed to pawn the girls off on Chris and Erin for the day and CLEANED THE GARAGE! Walk through that “room” with a smile on my face. *eternally grateful*. No, no gloating pix of the lovely display of my organizing talents…just proof that we were thorough in our work. Monday, February 24, 2014. We have sweet boys.

The Seattle Story: Halloween ghouls (girls)–October 2013
http://theseattlestory.blogspot.com/2014/05/halloween-ghouls-girlsoctober-2013.html
Sunday, May 11, 2014. Halloween ghouls (girls)–October 2013. Shots of our collective girls all done up on and around the big day. Littlest hula dancer – complete with coconuts! Fairy princess ladybug and ladybug girl. Maggie’s witch costume malfunctioned on her school party day, giving her a giant rash on her torso and Dave aced a pinch-hit by having her come up with an alternative for the big day…while I was in Orlando, hanging with Maggie's hero at the Lego store! Way to go, Dave! 38 Weeks - Baby James.
