Confessions Of a Homeschooling Atheist. I homeschool. I'm an atheist. This is apparently a fairly rare combination. Monday, April 30, 2012. Why We Homeschool: Myth-Busting. We homeschool for one main reason: I firmly believe it is the best choice for my kids, especially Little Professor. We have come across criticism from various people along the way, and surprisingly, most of the critics are relative strangers to us, and know very little about homeschooling! You just want to keep your kids sheltered!
Confessions Of a Homeschooling Atheist: July 2012

Confessions Of a Homeschooling Atheist. I homeschool. I'm an atheist. This is apparently a fairly rare combination. Thursday, July 26, 2012. We've been crazy-busy this summer, so I haven't had a lot of blogging time available, and since none of our summer activities are really homeschool related, I haven't had much to write about anyway. Topic number one, bribery versus rewards. People use these terms interchangeably, but they are NOT the same at all. And there are situations in every mom's life where sh...

Confessions Of a Homeschooling Atheist. I homeschool. I'm an atheist. This is apparently a fairly rare combination. Thursday, May 24, 2012. My Secret Plan is Working! Insert maniacal laugh here). This is particularly hard on me because I LOVE to read. I'll read anything I can get my hands on, and have been known to go through a dozen books in a week. (Who needs clean dishes anyway? But I just left it there, just in case. WellI just tucked him in a little while ago and he told me, "You know what, Mom?
Confessions Of a Homeschooling Atheist: September 2012
http://thehomeschoolingatheist.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Confessions Of a Homeschooling Atheist. I homeschool. I'm an atheist. This is apparently a fairly rare combination. Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Overall, I was quite impressed with our first morning of school. There was (almost) no whining or crying, and the older two actually wrote TWO pages worth of journal entries voluntarily, and (for Little Professor) IN CURSIVE! Last year, journal time was the absolute worst part of every day, but I'm hopeful that this is a sign that it will be easier this year.

About N.B.M. Follow- if you Dare. Want Me to Write For You? May 21, 2012. I got my first tattoo when I was 18 or 19. I was still living at home and had to pay my sister $5 to not tell my parents. And now, my parents have way more tattoos than I do. Tattoos have totally gone mainstream. And am I bemoaning that fact? Am I a tattoo snob? But I think they are a great thing. So, without further ado, here are my tattoos. Chest, right (cover up of my first 2 tattoos). So, what about you? May 11, 2012. Am I a ho...

Confessions Of a Homeschooling Atheist
Confessions Of a Homeschooling Atheist. I homeschool. I'm an atheist. This is apparently a fairly rare combination. Thursday, January 3, 2013. It's been a very busy school year so far, and between that and a broken computer, I've been very behind on updating my blog. But now that the holidays are over and I have a new laptop to type on, I'm back in action. And then there's Little Professor, my reason for homeschooling in the first place. Fortunately, his dad and I both have the same reservations, so we'v...

The Homeschooling Chronicle – …and some have homeschooling thrust upon them
8230;and some have homeschooling thrust upon them. I did mean to update before now, but it's been a busy week. Planning Jamie's lessons just seems to take up so much time; I have to confess I ended up not giving him a Citizenship or English lesson this week because I just ran out of time to plan them. (He does get … Continue reading Week 3. September 18, 2016. Thursday 8th and Friday 9th September. September 11, 2016. September 11, 2016. September 11, 2016. Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th September. The Homeschooling Diaries
Friday, April 20, 2012. Ready, Set.WAIT! This summer I will have a five year old. I can hardly believe it myself, but my little buddy Caleb will be five. Because of this, the question keeps coming up."Are you starting kindergarten with him? To which I reply, "Have you met Caleb? Will she be ready for kindergarten? These kids were not dumb, but they couldn't handle this stuff yet. They just weren't ready. They weren't supposed to be! Friday, March 30, 2012. Some things I've learned. With baby number 4 on ...
The HSD | What happens when a medical doctor becomes a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom
What happens when a medical doctor becomes a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom. What’s Your Story? Nutritional Rehabilitation: GAPS, SCD, Paleo…Whatever. August 12, 2015. August 12, 2015. I am looking at an invoice to the local YMCA. It is addressed to Dr. and Mrs. Fites. Normally, I’d just write the check and send it off. But today, I crossed through Dr. and Mrs. Fites and wrote The Doctors Fites above it. Why? Why does it matter? Why am I feeling so pesky about this today? But not today. (Smile.). Do you...
