September 2016 – The Homeschooling Chronicle
https://thehomeschoolingchronicle.wordpress.com/2016/09
8230;and some have homeschooling thrust upon them. I did mean to update before now, but it's been a busy week. Planning Jamie's lessons just seems to take up so much time; I have to confess I ended up not giving him a Citizenship or English lesson this week because I just ran out of time to plan them. (He does get … Continue reading Week 3. September 18, 2016. Thursday 8th and Friday 9th September. September 11, 2016. September 11, 2016. September 11, 2016. Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th September. 8230;and some have homeschooling thrust upon them. Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th September. Jamie was, alas, distinctly unimpressed with the history and geography lessons I’d drawn up for him; he complained vociferously and, despite my best efforts to offer help, refused to do much of the work. I was glad I’d set a fairly easy citizenship lesson, since it gave us both a bit of a break. September 11, 2016. Published by Dr Sarah. I'm a GP with a husband and two young children. 8230;and some have homeschooling thrust upon them. For Maths, Jamie was doing the sections on using formulas, making formulas from words, and rearranging formulas, which as usual he had no problems with. We did the next typing stage and then English, for which I’m working with a site the tutor recommended called Breaking News English. With comprehension texts at various levels. I picked a text called ‘ What the 5,300-year-old Iceman Wore. September 11, 2016. September 11, 2016. Published by Dr Sarah.
New subjects to teach – The Homeschooling Chronicle
https://thehomeschoolingchronicle.wordpress.com/2016/09/10/new-subjects-to-teach
8230;and some have homeschooling thrust upon them. New subjects to teach. With a new week looming up, I faced the necessity of getting together lessons in history, geography, and citizenship. According to the original plan this would have been science and citizenship, but the change of tutors for the Tuesday meant I was relieved of teaching science but ended up with history and geography instead (at least until and unless we sort out this third day with the tuition centre). September 10, 2016.

8230;and some have homeschooling thrust upon them. Thursday 8th and Friday 9th September. Two fairly straightforward days; the first with me, the second at the tuition centre. And that’s me up to date for the first time since starting this blog, so now I will try to. Up to date, even with very brief updates. Back to the grindstone tomorrow. September 11, 2016. Confessions Of a Homeschooling Atheist. I homeschool. I'm an atheist. This is apparently a fairly rare combination. Thursday, January 3, 2013. It's been a very busy school year so far, and between that and a broken computer, I've been very behind on updating my blog. But now that the holidays are over and I have a new laptop to type on, I'm back in action. And then there's Little Professor, my reason for homeschooling in the first place. Fortunately, his dad and I both have the same reservations, so we'v...
