It's Kili Time: March (Travel) Madness: Mt. Meru
http://itskilitime.blogspot.com/2011/03/march-travel-madness-mt-meru.html
Tuesday, March 29, 2011. March (Travel) Madness: Mt. Meru. I think I have probably mentioned one or a hundred times the lack of rain around here. All my complaining managed to catch up with me the one weekend I decided to be outdoors-y girl and drag my rear up the 15,000 ft mountain just outside of. Nevertheless, our weather-luck ran out quickly and the clouds quickly flew in. They managed to hold on to their precipitation for the first 4 hours or so, but then the higher we climbed and neared the sum...

Unadventurous – A Design So Vast
http://www.adesignsovast.com/2012/01/unadventurous
A Design So Vast. There is no question that I am the unadventurous sibling. I’ve mentioned my sister. The one who is living in Jerusalem for the year. With her two daughters, ages 5 and 3? Yes, that one. Apparently many boarding school teachers spend their sabbaticals reading books in a hammock at their lake house. Not so my brother-in-law and my sister. Instead they moved their small children halfway across the world to the Middle East. And whoa, am I proud of her. In fact she’s the. Coming as we do fro...

ADDIE E., BABY B. & ME: Additude Again
http://andyjessaddison.blogspot.com/2010/01/additude-again.html
ADDIE E., BABY B. and ME. Figuring it out one day at a time. Sunday, January 24, 2010. Of mine, who is a mother of two with impeccable style, has the poster. Keep Calm and Carry On. Hanging in her home. I need it because these days I get a lot of Additude. And when I say a lot, that is a colossal understatement. No one believes that the above Additude truly exists. Everyone looks at Andy and I as though we are the ones being overly dramatic. You doubt the accuracy of my parents. Take this, suckers. She m...

http://armchairchef-bryan.blogspot.com/2012/02/beer-and-coffee-steak.html
Thursday, February 16, 2012. Beer and Coffee Steak. OK after this one I promise to stop the complaining about my work week but I have to get it behind my in order to move on. That is where this recipe comes in, I am going to admit that I took a moment to partake in as many indulgences as I could in this one meal. So on Friday I got Miss Lu off to school and Mr. Man off to daycare then came home and made this. Beer and Coffee Steak and Eggs. Ok let’s talk about indulgence, you got:. 2 boneless skirt steaks.

http://armchairchef-bryan.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 29, 2011. I called Kris about halfway through the day, "How about a grilled slider trio, with caramelized sweet potatoes? I mean every body loves a Tuna Bahn Mi right? She paused for a moment, I am pretty sure thinking, why can't you keep it simple just once, but said, "Ok. just make sure that you have enough hamburgers for everybody and pick up some hotdogs.". Ok there is a lot of stuff to this meal so lets get going:. Tuna Bahn Mi with Carrot Daikon Slaw. 1 cup Champagne Vinegar. Mix ing...

armchairchef: Baked Cheese and Monster Trucks
http://armchairchef-bryan.blogspot.com/2012/02/baked-cheese-and-monster-trucks.html
Sunday, February 26, 2012. Baked Cheese and Monster Trucks. This is a story told from two points of view, the first is mine that way you can get an idea of what I was thinking. The second is told from the point of view of. well I guess we can call it reality. About 6:10 Kris sends me a text "you weren't supposed to sweep the kitchen! I put my phone away and think, "yeah but you have the husband of the year, I sweep and do the dishes.". No, I want to play with this! Melty baked cheese sticks. Mr Man and I...

Life is but a dream…. When my English friend e-mailed that she was having her neighbors over for drinks on July 4, I asked her to send a photo. Remembering her Burns Night Supper. A couple of winters ago, I suspected that having friends over for drinks didn’t mean setting out a keg and some Solo cups under a tree. While we celebrated our independence with cookouts and picnics, she and her husband invited their neighbors to a garden party. The photo upped my Anglophile feelings another notch. Love your cu...

It's Kili Time: About
http://itskilitime.blogspot.com/p/about.html
While we seem to have the hang of life here at the moment (at least that is the excuse I am stickin' to), it was well time to start focusing on sharing and recording our life here with a little creative exercise for Mama. It will mostly be me writing since I am not the one busy chasing down war criminals (that's Husband's j-o-b! But from time to time you might see something here about Roger's work with the UN. And running my own little specialty foods business. Thanks for visiting, Rebecca.

Saturday, June 11, 2011. Still here, just not there anymore! You all are used to long drawn-out pauses around here so I will save the excuses. We left Arusha about 3 weeks ago and have been traipsing across America ever since! We'll be visiting family and friends until June 30th when we embark on a 25 hour journey across the Pacific to our new home in Phnom Penh. At that point we will have traveled three quarters of the way around the globe from Arusha to America to Phnom Penh! June 11, 2011 at 2:23 AM.
