My Perspective - THE LOCAL KIDS
http://thelocalkids.weebly.com/my-perspective.html
None of the California schools ended up working out. I slowly came back around to Emory. I went on a couple of visits and met the volleyball team and fell in love with the campus. I made my decision to commit! However, I was still hesitant about being so close to home. I knew that college was about freedom and finding yourself. I did not want my parents to be bothering me to visit home or visiting every weekend. It turns out that this is not a problem. Create a free website.

When asked the question, "Looking back, would you have chosen a different school further away from home? My review of literature was very cool to see. There are so many articles and websites that are made for helping you choose the best college. There is a perfect fit college out there for everybody and many ways of helping you find it. Many articles outline the pros and cons of living close to home and how to choose which one is best for you. Create a free website.
Topic Analysis 1 - THE LOCAL KIDS
http://thelocalkids.weebly.com/topic-analysis-1.html
Everyone that I interviewed had different first thoughts of living close to home. My experience was most similar to Allycyn's. My first thought was why did I choose a school so close to home, I am way to close. I didn't think that I would have the freedom that I did and didn't want my parents to ruin my "college experience". Interview Allycyn - THE LOCAL KIDS
http://thelocalkids.weebly.com/interview-allycyn.html
I interviewed Allycyn because I went to high school with her, but she went to Emory Oxford instead. I figured we would have very similar experiences with transitioning to college. She only lives about an hour away form school. Looking back, would you have chosen a school further from home," I asked Allycyn. She said that she wouldn't have. Because she likes the comfort of being close but still having the freedom that she wants as well. Create a free website.
Interview Maggie - THE LOCAL KIDS
http://thelocalkids.weebly.com/interview-maggie.html
Maggie Collins is a teammate of mine on the volleyball team who also came to Emory from a local area. I chose to interview her because of her accessibility and I feel like we are in similar situations and wanted to see her outlook on the situation. I also wanted to see if she visited home often and how she dealt with being so close to home. I asked, "How often do you visit home? Create a free website.
