https://thelonggallery.wordpress.com/2010/06

If not actually under this new name, the space that The Long Gallery occupies has been a venue for exhibitions of Art and Design from the Art School’s students and staff for a number of years; the recent re-branding of the exhibition space came about in order to encourage contributions from outside collaborators and partners, as well as being a nod to the shape of the space itself. Student Adam Freeman presented ‘A Place To Die. Next we sa...

Modern Medieval: Chelsea's New Football Cathedral. Friday, July 24, 2015. Here in the States, sports stadiums can be either hit-or-miss, and their styles are all over the map. There are traditional venues, like baseball’s Fenway Park or Wrigley Field, popular newer venues like Baltimore’s Camden Yards, or huge mega-parks, like the Dallas Cowboy’s AT&T Stadium. The design of sports stadiums is a specialist trade, generally dominated by a handful of successful firms. Yes - This IS a Tudor Home. I happened ...

The Long Garden Path | A walk round the Estate!
The Long Garden Path. A walk round the Estate! About the long garden path. And now the Plan! In a Vase on Monday – But a Day Late! My very first Dahlia! I’m so impressed with it that I wanted to show it off, by joining in with Cathy, at “Rambling in the garden”. And her meme. I do hope she’ll forgive me for being late! It’s turned out to be an absolute stunner, I hope you agree! But, at least I have my dahlia – and some sweet peas! So back to the vase! Oh, and the sweet peas came indoors, too! The July s...

The Long Girls
Monday, July 11, 2011. Where Does Time Go? I've written a lot of blogs in my head. I wish someone made a software program that would translate those into blog posts. Maybe I'll work on that in my spare time ;). A few things I've wanted to write about lately. Squinkies and the Bible: the high school girls LOVED the squinkies and the Bible verses. at least they pretended to if they really didn't. I'm not built to be a surfer ;). Soul Surfer: speaking of surfers. I just finished Bethany Hamilton's book ...
The Long Glass Half Full
The Long Glass Half Full. November 15, 2011. I went in for C/T scans two weeks ago. These were my only scans since January, so you can imagine I was eager to see what has been going on inside my body! Well, I can now report good news! Altogether a great reason to celebrate. I guess I can now say that my cancer is in remission. More scans and a colonoscopy are scheduled for May. November 7, 2011. My last treatment, hopefully forever, was October 12! Here I am at my first treatment in May:. Here I am on my...
