The Long Glass Half Full

The Long Glass Half Full. November 15, 2011. I went in for C/T scans two weeks ago. These were my only scans since January, so you can imagine I was eager to see what has been going on inside my body! Well, I can now report good news! Altogether a great reason to celebrate. I guess I can now say that my cancer is in remission. More scans and a colonoscopy are scheduled for May. November 7, 2011. My last treatment, hopefully forever, was October 12! Here I am at my first treatment in May:. Here I am on my...

The Long Glass Half Full. Heading Home from the Huntsman Hilton. August 4, 2011. Angie Thomas, my mother told me that you wanted her to give me a kick in the pants to write another blog post because you were sick of checking my blog for four months without any updates. So here you are! This is exactly what we were hoping and praying and fasting for. Thanks for all of your help in this regard. I was very excited to meet my newest niece, who was very stand-offish, but totally adorable at the same time....

The Long Glass Half Full. Where’s the Salt? Heading Home from the Huntsman Hilton →. April 7, 2011. The last eight weeks have been very busy for our family. We were able to swim, feed ducks, and go to the BYU Art Museum, as well as catch up with a whole lot of our friends and family. Martin’s iPhone app (Home Food Storage App) revenue paid back all of his expenses and he decided to offer it free to everybody. Our landscaping is finally underway! View all posts by thelongglass →. https://thelongglass.wordpress.com/2011/02/25/wheres-the-salt

The Long Glass Half Full. T-7 Hours →. Where’s the Salt? February 25, 2011. The chemo side effects that most bothered me were nose bleeds, mouth sores, headaches, change in sense of taste, and loss of energy. Now two weeks off the chemo, the only thing that still bothers me is that I can’t taste salt properly! I didn’t faint or anything, so I consider the night a success. I have a good six more weeks to enjoy my out-of-shape body before surgery and more chemo. View all posts by thelongglass →. I admire y...

Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Walk-a-thon and Harvest Festival. Jessi's school had a walk-a-thon and Harvest festival back at the end of September. The boys and I tried to keep up with Jessi but she was too fast for us, and the boys were done so we left a little early. But I did get a few pictures. Then later that night the kids had a blast at the festival, but I didn't get pictures until we got home. July 22, 2012 at 9:17 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). San Jose, April 2010. Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Gale Reunion August 2011: 3 of 3. Final post for the reunion:). All about the Lake. Bass Lake to be exact. So the resort that we stayed at was just a little walk away from the lake. Unfortunately there weren't any good beaches on the side were were staying at so we had to drive a little ways to get to that, but it was still only about 5 minutes drive. Very close and nice. Anyway, here are the pictures. TONS AGAIN, possibly not in order again:). On the shore, without the boat.

Thursday, July 21, 2011. Finally up to date, at least until tomorrow. Just go to bed Tanner . . . I don't care where.". That is what I said to Tanner the other night. And this is what we found then. And this is what we found tonight. Tanner had been having a hard time going to bed lately. Sometimes he will be coming out up to 10 times and 2 hours after we have put him to bed. So out of frustration I made the comment mentioned above. The kids were so excited to eat their cherry tomatoes. Later that night ...

Friday, October 29, 2010. Walk-A-Thon and Harvest Festival 2010. Jessi had her first walk-a-thon and Harvest Festival at school a few weeks ago. She enjoyed walking with her classmates and completed 11 laps in the time that they had. The boys and I walked along with her and then stayed to help with water for the second group. They were troopers. Later that night we were able to attend the Harvest Festival. Jessi wanted her teacher, Mrs. Carroll to make her hair crazy. More teasing and hair color. I don't...

As YW president, I was asked to talk and since I was dressed as the Cat In the Hat, I wrote a little poem to inspire. The girls and adults loved it, so I thought I'd share it here.
