Aaron, Erin, Hayden, Chloe and Ellie. Thursday, September 15, 2011. We went to Prescott for a weekend in June. We of course had to climb Thumb Butte. But we ain't there yet! Back to the hike. Hayden and AC were thwarted from going to the tippy top by mating Eagles or something, so they had to stay down with the rest of us weaklings. It was a great hike anyway- and a fun family tradition! I don't actually have many pictures of the boys because as soon as daylight hit, they scattered into the woods to play boy games- usually involving sticks, sound effects and pinecones. They would return to eat, then leave again until dark or so. Hayden is holding the rope for the rope swing that was set up Saturday night. I must admit I used to silently panic over the whole photo shoot experience. We have tried it all different ways, professionals, friends and the ol. Standby - me. None of those options made my stress level any easier to swallow. Until I discovered the Christmas Card Out Take blog entry. It has saved me!
