A life in food and perpetual gluttony. An Attempt at Narcissism. So we took a road trip to the beach. The entire trip lasted about 36 hours from start to finish. There was a big SUV full of tired architects, a big ice-box full of alcohol and a three-hour trip to Digha. Digha’s one of those touristy beach towns, a stone’s throw away from a big city. That automatically turns it into. We also pack our swim-wear. Ummm, at this point if you’re imagining two-pieces or monokinis and swimming trunks th...Then of...

The Flavor Carousel: New Orleans, USA: beautiful porches, balconies and beignets!

New Orleans, USA: beautiful porches, balconies and beignets! New Orleans, located in the southern state of Louisiana, is a major port in the States and had been established by the French. I went there ostensibly to see the NOLA jazz festival but found myself wandering the city taking pictures of the beautiful balconies and porches. Just outside the festival. Cafe Du Monde, New Orleans (open 24 hours). 800 Decatur Street,. A beignet (be - ne) is a fried pastry served with powdered sugar. It was brough...

From the rooter to the tooter. In with the new. Two great tastes that taste great together. February 22, 2013. We do a lot more cooking way uptown — there just aren’t as many options for eating out or delivery as there were in Brooklyn, which is mostly a boon — but sometimes neither of us gets home till 10pm, and nobody feels like doing anything more than reheating leftovers or prepared foods. Smoked Salmon and Crème Fraîche Tart with a Cornmeal Millet Crust. Skip to main content. February 6, 2015. A Cornmeal Millet Crust. It’s been a uniformly gray and rainy week in Seattle, and I’d planned on making a big pot of salmon chowder to have for the weekend, but then the new issue of. Chocolate Pie Recipe – Eating Out Loud!

http://www.eatingoutloud.com/2013/04/chocolate-pie-recipe.html

Cooking & Baking. Chocolate Pie Vintage Recipe Card. Chocolate pie is one of my favorite pies that my mother makes. It’s thick, creamy and rich due to milk and eggs. However, this chocolate pie recipe surprised me by not containing either eggs or milk. The creaminess of this pie comes from a flour-thickened base that is flavored with cocoa powder, vanilla and coffee (highly suggested). Mrs McShane. Good. Chocolate Pie Vintage Recipe. 3 rounded teaspoons cocoa powder. 1 pint water (or coffee). Chocolate C...
