The View from Landmark: Spam count way down from last summer

http://theviewfromlandmark.blogspot.com/2005/02/spam-count-way-down-from-last-summer.html

The View from Landmark. Tuesday, February 15, 2005. Spam count way down from last summer. Isn't anybody spamming any more? I'm getting maybe 100 spams a day right now. Last summer the count was 14,000 daily. It wasn't so bad - the spam was totally managed (ask me for details on how to keep clutter away from your in-box) - but it was remarkable. I could hit "delete all", and by the time the screen refreshed there might be another five or ten spams trapped there. Maybe the spammers have graduated into phis...

The View from Landmark: Domain notification renewal: A scam?

http://theviewfromlandmark.blogspot.com/2005/10/domain-notification-renewal-scam.html

The View from Landmark. Thursday, October 20, 2005. Domain notification renewal: A scam? Looks like a scam to me. Do you know anything about them? I had renewed my domain registration through something like 2011. If it is a scam, is there some fraudbusting outfit I can forward this to, to alert them? Although (yourdomain).org and (yourdomain).net are already taken, there are new extensions available: dot-us, dot-info, dot-name, dot-biz, etc. None has the recognition factor that dot-com has, b...Visit to ...

The View from Landmark: DSL provider in Washington, DC?

http://theviewfromlandmark.blogspot.com/2005/11/dsl-provider-in-washington-dc.html

The View from Landmark. Thursday, November 10, 2005. DSL provider in Washington, DC? I need an internet hookup on Capitol Hill for my business. Do you have any suggestions? Verizon DSL is not an option in my area. I punched in your phone number at www.verizon.net/dsl. And it indicates that you ARE eligible for business DSL. But if you're sure that service won't work for you, there are other high-speed providers. B=Search for DSL ISPs by Phone number. Posted by The View from Landmark @ 11/10/2005.

The View from Landmark: Verizon DSL Ups Its Speed

http://theviewfromlandmark.blogspot.com/2005/03/verizon-dsl-ups-its-speed.html

The View from Landmark. Friday, March 11, 2005. Verizon DSL Ups Its Speed. Most clients know that I've been a strong advocate of Verizon DSL. For home and small business broadband. Service. They had a shaky start a few years ago and created ill feelings when their service was unreliable and their support structure was worse, but they've come a long way. Now, in the face of competition - mostly from Comcast cable. Verizon is doubling its download speed at no charge. I wanted to make sure the higher speed ...

Window On My World | No one else sees things the way we do.

Window On My World. No one else sees things the way we do. Have a look at the world through my window. This is what I have to say. The Plans that don’t quite match. August 6, 2015. I suppose I should be glad that there are mistakes like these. They present a mini challenge and stimulate the brain cells, those that are left in operation. It’s also useful to be able to refer back to this when I make a stupid mistake in something, well even big organisations get it wrong sometimes. What’s in a tagline?

The View from Kalamazoo

Monday, January 12, 2015. Why Am I Here? I have given up on the idea of blogging. I am not a writer. I am a journal keeper. One does not beget the other. I began The View from Kalamazoo. In 2006 after great inspiration at the National Conference on Media Reform. I had hoped to bring attention to that issue through a blog that no one knows exists — ironic and very naive. Hermit on the Hill. Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Summer in the Zoo. Hermit on the Hill. Friday, February 3, 2012. The Hermit is Back!

Al Woodson had been in the living room checking out sites on-line and found something he thought was interesting. 8220;Ellen, listen to this.”. 8220;Looks fine, dear,” is what she’d told him, turning quickly away and suggesting, “Let’s go inside for some nice warm tea. How’s that sound? 8220;What is it? 8221; she asked, gripping her wooden spoon and unconsciously holding her breath. Part” Al had been an amateur bird watcher ...
