The View from the Porch: January 2007

http://www.theviewfromtheporch.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html

The View from the Porch. Daily life from our little corner of the world. Friday, January 12, 2007. Whenwe arrived in Neuburg we found ourselves at the base of a hill upon which sat a very broken down, although nicely lit up castle. The road to the castle looked like a walking path, but we headed up - as we had no other place to stay! Frank was wondering what sort of place I booked for the night and I was anxiously praying that everything would be alright. Posted by * * *. Links to this post. It's been so...

The View from the Porch: Hawaii Fun!

http://www.theviewfromtheporch.blogspot.com/2012/07/hawaii-fun.html

The View from the Porch. Daily life from our little corner of the world. Thursday, July 05, 2012. Sadly after the luau, Haley decided to take up Nolan's traditional spot on the injured reserved list and broke her toe while walking on the beach in the dark. Her pinky toe was quite bruised but she limped along like a trooper. Here are a few very random pictuers - some from the beginning of our trip on the plane and a few others from the luau. Haley and Daddy getting ready for the Fia Fia Luau. Well things ...

The View from the Porch: Hawaiian Historical Railroad

http://www.theviewfromtheporch.blogspot.com/2012/07/hawaiian-historical-railroad.html

The View from the Porch. Daily life from our little corner of the world. Monday, July 09, 2012. Sunday morning, we said goodbye to Haley and sent her home. She is headed up to the Klammath River for a white water leadership adventure camp. On the way back to the hotel, Frank remembered there was a train that ran on Sundays that I had told him about several months ago. It is a historic Sugar line and runs right through the Ko'Olina resort area, where we are staying. Posted by * * *. The View from the Porch.

Full House!

http://fullhouse-on-the-farm.blogspot.com/2012/12/on-december-19-sean-and-nathan-attended.html

Sunday, December 30, 2012. On December 19 Sean and Nathan attended 169 Columbia's Christmas Mess Dinner. I went to help in the kitchen and watch some of the show. I'm pretty sure this was a historical dinner in that Sean, the Coxswain, was Mr. President, and his brother, Nathan, was the Guest of Honour. It was a hoot! They both had a great time and I'm so glad they were able to experience sitting at the head table together.. Mr President, Lt. Juliusson, and the Guest of Honour, before the Mess dinner.

Sunday, February 03, 2013. Here is our new student, Chikashi (Chi-Kash) Honda! He arrived this morning and Don and Mark went to fetch him as the rest of us were at church and ice skating lessons. As you can see, Chikashi is a long and lanky fellow.I think he and Mark will be able to share clothes! It will definitely be difficult to tell whose clothes are whose when I'm doing laundry :). Saturday, December 27, 2014. Readers with a discerning eye - or at least readers capable of performing date calculations - may have noticed that fresh content has been somewhat… sporadic.
