things i eat in the bathtub
Things i eat in the bathtub. It all started after a run when I was really, really hungry and thirsty. . .and smelly. I decided to eat a grapefruit but took it with me into the bathtub. I thought this was brilliant considering the squirty potential that grapefruit has. A habit was born. Friday, May 24, 2013. So not smooth smoothie. I'm not very coordinated or graceful. This is especially true when I have sweated through my clothing, my hands are shaking and my blood sugar is low. Links to this post. I sho...

Yellow Rose Arbor
I don't want the summer to pass without posting this zinnia tablescape. Inspiration started with this cute little wheelbarrow from Hobby Lobby. I featured it in my Valentine and St. Patrick's Day tablescapes back in February and March. My mother always grew zinnias in her yard. When I saw these silk zinnias I had to buy them because they remind me of my mother. They look so sweet in the little wheelbarrow. The multi-colored flatware also matches really well! Napkin rings have a zinnia tucked in them.

Things I Failed to Do
Things I Failed to Do. A blog about projects which I didn't finish, and why that might be interesting in and of itself. A blog about failure. Thursday, 13 February 2014. It also serves well as the first post which any future visitor might see. What happened when I went to public school. Meanwhile this chapter just has sex and death in it. Borking narratives in choice-based games. Finished things that still feel unfinished. Links to this post. Wednesday, 29 August 2012. But yeah, all this started off with...

Things I Fancy!
Saturday, August 16, 2008. I have shifted all future posts over to my other blog, Brunch Anytime. Wednesday, June 25, 2008. This Strange Thing Called Prom. There is a great article in the NYT from earlier in the week about how students at "the International High School at Prospect Heights, a public school that serves newcomers to the United States, had no clue what a prom was" and it follows them as they learn the rituals to prom and try to throw one. It's a great, charming story, you can read here.

things i feed my boyfriend
Thursday, December 1, 2011. I'm not back yet. Has it been a year yet? Jeeze I've been so busy with school that I abandoned this place completely. But I still have such warm feelings for it! While I did abandon the blogging, I did not abandon cooking! But I did cut down on it due to my time being taken up with assignments, projects, and other fun exciting learning experiences. : Don't get me wrong, I'm all about learning, but learning so much in so little time is just stressful. But it was bad judgement o...

Things I Feel Strongly About
Things I Feel Strongly About. Monday, 4 May 2015. Sunday, 3 May 2015. Riches of a Secular Society: The Toll of Drinking Culture. A Blog post by Sally Dalton. The African man is a complex concept. In the eyes of westerners, he is the potent, powerful figure whose otherness determines him an object for admiration and contempt, his image daunted by expectations and prejudices, an epitome of masculinity as Frantz Fanon observes in.
